The Legend of Wu Kun

In addition, the titles of Mazu and Baosheng Emperor are equal, so * * * sacrifice has the advantages of economy and convenience. This shows that God was created by people, and God was created on the premise that people had certain needs, and was reinterpreted according to people's needs.
2. "Emperor Baosheng" Wu Kun, commonly known as "Da Dao Gong", was born in Tongan. On the fifteenth day of the third lunar month, it is the birthday of Emperor Baosheng, so it is also called "Avenue Public Health". But on this day, for some reason, there is a strong wind every year, so it is also called "Avenue Wind".
Mazu, whose real name is Maureen, was born in Meizhou. March 23rd of the lunar calendar, mother's birthday. Somehow, it must rain every day, so it is commonly known as "Mazu Rain".
Here's the story. Duke Avenue and Mazu competed with each other to see whose magic was better before they became immortals. Because the two are evenly matched, they are both miraculous, and all kinds of magic weapons are exhausted, but they still can't tell. God in heaven saw that it was not the right way for them to fight like this, so he coordinated in the middle and made peace between the two sides, ending this vicious struggle.
However, the two sides were still a little unbalanced, and Daogong thought, "Good! On March 23, her birthday, I cast a spell to rain, wash the rouge gouache on her face and watch her make a fool of herself! 」
And Mazu's wife also thought, "Hum! We agreed not to fight, but we are still so cruel. Am I afraid of you? March 15, his birthday, I blew a strong wind and blew off his real hat, making him look like he had nothing! 」
In this way, every year on March 15, there will be strong winds, and on March 23, the rain will continue.
There will inevitably be disputes in the world, and the divine world is no exception. There is a legend among the Han people in Taiwan Province Province: It is said that Daogong, a single aristocrat in the divine world, had a history of friendship with Mazu. When the great emperor Baosheng realized that Mazu was dignified and virtuous, he began to pursue the offensive and * * * shared the next "friendship". One day, Mazu saw the pain of ewe giving birth for the first time, and decided to sever contact with Emperor Baosheng. The emperor was very angry at being abandoned for no reason, but it rained on Mazu's birthday (March 23 of the lunar calendar) and he wanted to wash the powder on Mazu's face. Unable to save face, Emperor Baosheng decided to wash the powder off Mazu's face in the next heavy rain to make her feel humiliated. Not to be outdone, Mazu also tried to blow the hat off the emperor's head when he was on patrol on the birthday of Emperor Baosheng (the 15th day of the third lunar month). So it often rains on Mazu's birthday, and it often blows on Baoshengdi's birthday. This is the origin of the Han folk meteorological proverb: "There is wind on the road, and it rains in Mazu."
Neither Bao Sheng Emperor nor Mazu was married before his death. There is a legend that goes like this. According to legend, it rains every year on the fifteenth day of the third lunar month. There are anecdotes about Mazu and Bao Shengdi. When Mazu got on the sedan chair and set off, she saw the mother sheep giving birth to a lamb in pain on the road. She thought it was too hard to get married and have children, so she gave up the idea of getting married.

The anecdote about the fight between Emperor Baosheng and Mazu is a kind of humor among the Han people. It is also a mythical explanation of the natural climate by the Han people. In today's science, this is unscientific. However, we might as well regard it as a legend, so as to make Baosheng Emperor and Mazu of the Han people more human.
The friendship between Daogong and Mazu's grandmother, Mazu was from Fujian (Five Dynasties and Ten Kingdoms), the Han people in Baosheng Dida Avenue (Northern Song Dynasty), and Er Shen was from Fujian. One is in Tongan, Fujian and the other is in Meizhou, Putian. The two places are not far apart, and they are all unmarried. In fact, the third month of the lunar calendar is in the rainy season, and it is a natural phenomenon that the wind and rain turn into great power, and the ability of the two gods to call the wind and rain is a symbol of marine culture.
