Xuankong Temple in Shaanxi is definitely worth visiting
A friend asked me to recommend a scenic spot to him, and he had many requirements. It should have natural scenery, humanistic stories, food, and folk customs; it should have mountains and water. Climbing the mountain should be a little difficult, but no It’s too tiring, the water needs to be in various forms, some are still and some are moving; the landscape needs to be unique and not too popular, but it definitely needs to be famous, but many people have never been there, so it can definitely be posted on WeChat to show off. Of course, it doesn’t have to be too far from Xi’an. If you’re in a hurry, you can finish it in one day, or if you’re more relaxed, you can do it in two days.
Is this too demanding? Not high. For Xi'an, our geomantic treasure land, these are just trivial matters. Guanzhong, southern and northern Shaanxi, the mountains and rivers are in foreign lands, and the weather and weather are different. Isn't it easy to visit some fresh places?
What I recommend is Long County. When talking about Long County, many people think of Guanshan Ranch. Yes, Guanshan Ranch is not bad. Xi'an people often go there to escape the summer heat, stay in tents, look at the grass, and ride horses. What I'm talking about is Longmendong Forest Park, which is farther ahead from Guanshan Ranch and at the junction of Shaanxi and Gansu. There are many Longmen Cave in the country, but this Longmen Cave is different. It is the place where Qiu Chuji realized Taoism and established the sect, the ancestral hall of the Quanzhen Longmen Sect of Taoism. Qiu Chuji——Do you know? Master Yang Kang—do you know? "The Legend of the Condor Heroes" - Do you know? Taoism in the world is divided into Quanzhen and Zhengyi sects, and the mainstream of Quanzhen is the Longmen sect. Especially in the north, the Taoist temples you walk into are basically hosted by the Longmen sect, and this is the Longmen Ancestral Court.
If you are not interested in religion, then do you know the Hanging Temple on Mount Hengshan in Beiyue? No matter what people say about the Five Great Hanging Temples or the Seven Great Hanging Temples, the risk of the Hanging Temple in Longmen Cave is definitely not lower than that of the Hanging Temple in Hengshan.
At the end of July, we drove to Long County. After passing Baoji, there were very few cars on the highway. It didn't take long after getting off the highway, it took more than three hours in total. The weather in Long County is cooler than that in Xi'an. This is a 4A-level scenic spot, but there are very few people and there are only a few cars in the parking lot outside the gate. Walking along the cement road of the ditch, looking at the blooming mountain flowers and listening to the chirping of songbirds, I felt relaxed.

There is a stone archway facing you on the path. Don’t look at the content, but look at the inscription: Shen Peng, Fan Zeng, Zhang Hai. Anyone who has a little knowledge of the calligraphy and painting circle will know that his reputation is not small. The Longmen Cave Scenic Area claims that there are immortals in the thirty-six caves and real dragons hidden in the twenty-four pools. The stream beside the road is clear and winds along the peaks. There are also springs and waterfalls from time to time, adding a lot of coolness.
There are many Liangpi stalls along the road. No, this place should be called stuffed (rang)pi. It is somewhat different from the dough in Xi'an. Spring wheat is grown here. Alkaline water is added when steaming the Liangpi, which makes it taste better. tendons. Mix some wild vegetables into the stuffed skin, it's very refreshing. I am quite taboo about food in scenic spots, but I don’t need it here. I ate two bowls and it only cost 12 yuan.
There were not many tourists, and the lady selling stuffed leather had nothing to do. She pointed to the cliff opposite and asked if she had seen those big vats. We just wanted to look at the mountain flowers on the roadside, and we took a closer look at the cliff. ? The aunt began to show off: There used to be an old Taoist priest "Chen Yexian" here who went to Gansu to beg for help. A porcelain seller in Huating Town said: Mo Qian, if you have the ability to take away my vat, I will give it to you. The large tank filled with water in rural areas is nearly a person tall. How can one person carry it? The old Taoist priest thanked him. As a result, there was a strong wind at night, and all the large tanks in the store were lifted up by the wind and flew into the air and disappeared. Later, when people in the town went to Longmen Cave to offer incense, they found these large vats with the mark of the shop on them. I looked in the direction of my finger, and sure enough there was a row of large tanks. Thinking about it, there is no way for people to get up there. Could this big tank really be blown up by the strong wind?
Our schedule was a bit tight, so we didn’t go to Zaoyang Cave and walked directly across the bridge towards the Hanging Temple. Along the way, we passed the Caishen Temple, Qingxia Cave, and Yuwang Cave, which can be seen on the roadside. In fact, there are many small caves on the roadside, but they are not accessible and difficult to climb. The road to Dingxin Peak is basically relatively easy to walk. Although I am a little out of breath and a little tired, it is still acceptable.
The location of Dingxin Peak is very interesting. The peak is abrupt and crosses the valley, but it is not very high. It is said to be a peak mainly because of its steepness. After climbing about ten meters, I reached the top. I was thinking about how to sit cross-legged and meditate here, but no one took pictures, and I, a layman, didn't have the air of a fairy, so I forgot about it. Dingxin Peak stands abruptly in the middle of the valley, and you can have a panoramic view of the surrounding scenery, especially the suspended buildings on the cliff, which are even more dangerous. The buildings are not built along the cliff, but are recessed into the gaps in the cliff. Some can still see the plank road leading to the top, and some have nothing. I suspect that the Taoist priests became immortals and soared up.
If the mind is not settled, there will be no great freedom. "There is nothing when the mind is fixed, and the joy of Dharma overcomes the five desires." Mr. Dongpo's heart must have been fixed for hundreds of years.
After getting off Dingxin Peak, we arrived at Longmen Cave. There is a large piece of flat land here, so it became the largest building. It was renovated and painted brightly. There are also many Taoist priests here, and they all draw fortunes and ask questions, and they also draw some weird words. What attracted me was that there was a young Taoist priest sitting upright next to him, looking intently at the desktop. There was an IPAD on the desktop, and there was a mobile phone next to him. He should be studying. He looked at his nose, his nose and his mouth, and his mouth looked at his heart. It's magical.
After coming out of Longmen Cave, climb the mountain from the right side and pass the Dragon King Hall all the way to the plank road. The plank road is built on the cliff. It is composed of iron rods embedded in the stone wall and supporting three or four wooden boards. It is less than one meter wide. When two people face each other, they have to turn sideways. Of course, there are iron chains on both sides to protect them, and they face the abyss. There are iron chain ladders hanging down from the plank road, and there are buildings on the top. However, the lower parts of the ladders are rolled up with iron wires. This is because the scenic spot is afraid of tourists climbing boldly regardless of the danger. This is the case with the Taibai Hall next to it.
There are many steles inlaid next to the plank road. Many of them are difficult to see clearly and have a lot of writing. Most of them record the deeds of pilgrims to the mountains. There is only one tablet with the four characters "Tiánqu Yunbu" written in large letters, which is very clear. If you look carefully at the small characters, it is from the Kangxi period. There are many names engraved below, and they must be people who went to the mountain together.
When you reach the end of the plank road, you will see a building called "Wuda Qingxu Cave" with the inscription "Xiaohua Mountain" next to it. I don't really like it. Some tourist attractions often like "sugar daddies" and claim to be a little worse than a certain scenic spot. But I don't know, this actually means giving up your own personality. Just like being born as a human being, you are yourself. The only thing is that other people's splendor belongs to others, but don't lose your own existence in the shadow of others. Longmen Cave is born with a spirit and will be very sad.
There are three floors further up, where you can pull the chain through the bottom of the building. Although it is a building embedded in the gaps in the stone wall, the eaves and brackets still make it imposing. After walking around three times and two times, I arrived at the second floor of the building. I was a little dumbfounded: the third floor of the building was directly above my head. The ladder welded with iron went straight up and down, with protective iron bars welded next to it. The passage was narrow and I couldn't carry it on my backpack. Yes, there is a stumbling block. I worshiped the statue, put my backpack next to me, and climbed up the iron ladder. There was a curve in the middle of the ladder. If one foot slipped, I wouldn't be able to eat tomorrow's steamed buns.
After groping up, we arrived at Hunyuanding, which is the tallest building in Longmen Cave. The ground is not big, it is really the land of the abbot. Looking at the faint green mountains on the opposite side, I have the thought of leaving the world. The suspended buildings here are not only dangerous, but also clever, making full use of the natural terrain to lead the way. I wonder why hundreds of years ago, these monks did not practice on the convenient plains but had to go to this cliff. A friend who traveled with me said: Why do the practitioners in Zhongnan Mountain abandon the world of mortals and enter the deep mountains and old forests? Same reason.
When I came down to rest at the entrance of the Eight Immortals Hall, I turned around and found a Taoist at the side of the hall, with a table and a chair, smoking a cigarette. If I meet a close friend, I will give you one. Taoists who smoke are usually very kind. He flicked the ashes of his cigarette and waved his sleeve: "Didn't you look at the abrasive stone?" When I heard this, I regretted it. When I passed Qiu Zu Cave, Qiu Zu had forgotten the abrasive stone he carried every day. It seemed that there was no chance. The Taoist said calmly and unhurriedly: If there is no fate, it means there is fate, and if we don't see it, we will meet each other.
When I was going down the mountain, I met an old Taoist on the road. He was wearing a Zhuangzi scarf and had a patchy beard. However, he was stopped by a young man and started to fight. The kid was the son of the stall owner next to him, and he was quite a rogue, but the old Taoist man moved around without taking it as an offense, as he seemed to do this all the time. Although the mother of the child taught her child a lesson, she had no intention of disciplining her child.
Taoism talks about Feng Shui and the cave heavens and blessed lands, and thus lists thirty-six cave heavens and seventy-two blessed lands. People who sincerely practice Taoism work hard to find spiritual places. Qiu Zu was a man of Taoism. He said, "Wherever there are famous mountains in blessed places, Changchun is like a small Peng Hu." Wherever famous mountains in blessed places are, they are in your own heart, and people themselves have their own feng shui. Qiu Zu wrote a poem in Longmen Cave: "Looking south, the dragon gate opens, and the cranes that move east move back again. I know that this area has a lot of karma, and I don't allow other people to do it." That is to say, this place has a lot of karma with me. A place with karma is a blessed place, so I won’t go to other places. So, he attained enlightenment here.
I am stupid by nature and cannot practice Taoism, but from Qiu Zu, I also realized some truths. People should pursue things that suit themselves, and the place that suits them is the place that has karma with you. Your cave is your blessed land.
I think about the Taoist priests who study on the IPAD, the Taoist priests who smoke, and the Taoist priests who play games with children. Maybe they have found their paradise.
When I left, I saw a gate and wrote a couplet: The Taoist courtyard has no door, the breeze sweeps, the mountain gate is not locked, and the white cloud seals it, and the horizontal comment is: There is haze outside.
