One of Ge Yuan's Notes: Stone Arch Couplet.

On May 17, the weather was fine. At about 10 in the morning, when we were about to arrive at Geyuan Town, a tall stone archway appeared in the middle of the highway. On the lintel of the archway, there are six bright red characters "Ge Yuan, the provincial capital of red" arranged from left to right-which caught the passengers' eyes through the window and attracted my special attention as a revisiter. The stone archway is tall and majestic, heavy and solemn, with extraordinary momentum, which is awe-inspiring!

Twenty-seven years ago, after the Spring Festival, I visited Ge Yuan for the first time on business. There was no memorial arch at that time. Its establishment should be in recent years. This time, I came by car with my classmates from the photography class of Shangrao University for the Aged, and there were two other cars, with a total of 55 people. At four o'clock in the afternoon, when we returned to Shangrao from Geyuan, we passed the stone archway again. Teacher Qiu, who led the team, said: Let's get off and take a group photo in front of the stone archway. So I went to the front of it and found a pair of couplets engraved on two pillars in the middle-

Two and a half shots awakened northeastern Jiangxi;

Wanshan Hongfeng reflects Fujian, Zhejiang and Jiangxi.

The six characters "Hongdu-Ge Yuan" on the lintel of the memorial arch are equivalent to the "cross" of this couplet.

In terms of content, this pair of couplets has a good meaning. The first part refers to Fang Zhimin's uprising with "two and a half guns" in Qigong town of Qiyang, followed by "Yiheng uprising" and a single spark can start a prairie fire, and then formally establish the revolutionary base area in Northeast Jiangxi in Geyuan. There are many maple trees in Geyuan, especially in Fengshuwu Village. Many giant maple tree rings are over 100 years old, and many of them are over 300-500 years old. "Red Maple" symbolizes revolution and red regime. The bottom line means: Fang Zhimin, Huang Dao and other China producers have worked hard to expand the red area since they established the revolutionary base area in Northeast Jiangxi in Geyuan. Geyuan became the revolutionary center of Fujian, Zhejiang and Jiangxi provinces, and even became the red holy land of four provinces (plus Anhui).

Formally speaking, the format of the first couplet does not conform to the regulations. According to the traditional format, horizontal criticism should be written from right to left, while "Red Capital-Ge Yuan" is written from left to right. According to the current format (that is, writing horizontally from left to right), the upper part should be placed on the left and the lower part should be placed on the right, but now the upper part is in the wrong position. In a word, the position of couplets and horizontal comments is not in conformity with the regulations, lacking basic common sense, neither fish nor fowl, so ridiculous!

There are many mistakes and loopholes in the second couplet. Let's talk about part-of-speech errors first: the upper couplet "tiao" and the lower couplet "shan" are not right (tiao is a quantifier; Mountain is a noun. The "half" in the upper couplet and the "red" in the lower couplet are not right (half is a numeral; Red is an adjective. Let's talk about leveling error first: the "bar" on the upper part of the couplet and the "mountain" on the lower part are flat (in principle, it should be leveling and leveling, and vice versa). The "wake up" of the upper couplet and the "reflection" of the lower couplet are all silent (in principle, they should be silent, and vice versa). The "North" in the upper part of the couplet and the "Gan" in the lower part of the couplet are both clear tones (in principle, they should be flat tones and clear tones, and vice versa. The two corresponding places of other words can be even numbers or even numbers, but the last word in the upper and lower parts must be even numbers, and vice versa) In addition, the word "Gan" appears in the upper part of "Northeast Jiangxi" and another word "Gan" appears in the lower part of "Fujian, Zhejiang and Jiangxi". In principle, couplets with the same or more words are not allowed, just like metrical poems, which are called "guilty reply". Moreover, it is not appropriate to use "northeast Jiangxi" against "Fujian, Zhejiang and Jiangxi" because "northeast" is a locative word and "Zhejiang and Jiangxi" is a place noun.

In the history of modern revolution in China, the red history of Ge Yuan is brilliant all over the country, and now seven million children in northeast Jiangxi are proud of it! -Red culture is rich and colorful! However, judging from the couplets carved on the stone archway in Geyuan, seven million children in northeast Jiangxi should be ashamed, and I'm sorry that Qian Qian's revolutionary martyrs, the traditional culture, have been eclipsed!

Or ask: so how to correct the above mistakes? The author tries it according to the current format. Although it is difficult to please, if you are not satisfied, you are overjoyed:

Horizontal criticism uses the word "red" instead of "red" to avoid repeating the word "red" in joint languages (red capital, red guards, red trade unions, etc.). , are commonly used by * * * producers before).
