Go out for a walk - Zhongshan Kuchong Ancient Village
I originally made an appointment with a friend to have a picnic in the park last night. Unexpectedly, she said she didn’t want to go in the morning and wanted to take me to her friend’s farm. The farm is in Nanlang Town, which is more than ten or twenty kilometers away. Although I am very greedy for the claypot rice in Yakou, I still refused. Because I had to pick up my kids from school at around 4pm, and I was in a hurry. Another reason was that I didn’t know her friends, so it seemed like there would be no point in going there.
I am at home alone, drinking tea and reading on the balcony. An hour later, my eyes were a little tired and my head was a little dizzy. I looked outside and it was sunny and friendly. It was really a good weather to go out for a walk and do some activities.
I thought of the tweets I saw a few days ago from the Zhongshan Cultural Tourism Official Account introducing the watchtowers and ancient temples in Kuchong Ancient Village. The impression of Kuchong Village is that the Kuchong market is messy. I really didn’t expect it to have anything to do with the “ancient village”. Come to think of it, it's not that far anyway, so why not go explore it.
Decided not to make an appointment with friends and ride on the eDonkey to go alone.
After leaving home, walk south along Qiwan Road for about one kilometer to the west gate of Zimaling. Turn right onto Dongyu Road and you will arrive at the intersection of Dongyu Road and Dongyuan about one kilometer away. I am nearby. I parked my electric car in front of a random shop and walked instead.
I searched the location of "Chen Tianjue Gong Temple" in the tweet on Baidu Map and found the nearest alley to enter. After walking only more than ten meters, we arrived at the entrance of Tongde Kindergarten. There is also a kindergarten opposite called Kuchong Wang Shichang Kindergarten. There was a road sign at the intersection, so I followed the sign and headed in the direction of "Chen Tianjue Gong Temple".
Wander slowly around the village. It is said to be an ancient village, but the charm of the ancient times is still difficult to find. Occasionally, a few large houses from the Republic of China period can be found among the modern bungalows. Most of them are still occupied by people, but there are "rental houses" signs posted in front of the doors. Occasionally I met some women sitting and chatting together in the alley. They all sounded like they had foreign accents.
I only found four or five watchtowers in the village, scattered throughout the village. I found one while walking, and then another one while walking. It was a kind of surprise and fun to hunt for treasure!
I found the "Chen Tianjue Gong Temple" at the corner next to a watchtower. This ancestral hall seems to have been renovated and looks brand new. The public temple has a structure of two halls and one patio. In the middle of the lobby is a statue of Chen Tianjue. The corridor walls on both sides of the patio are filled with donation lists for repairs and some introductions by Chen Tianjue. Because there were several old people in the ancestral hall, I didn't have the nerve to take a closer look.
The ancestral hall is about five or six meters high and has a large patio. The front hall is ventilated and cool. In summer, it becomes an activity center for the elderly in the village. A few old friends can play cards, chess and chat here. Looking at the sky from the patio, the sky is clear and blue with white clouds. From time to time, a few birds would chirp to join in the fun. It was really a Feng Shui treasure place for the elderly to have fun.
After leaving the temple, we continued to wander around. Some young people in the village used old houses to transform into some unique shops. But I don’t know if it’s because I came at noon and everyone had taken their lunch break. Most of the shops were closed, so it was impossible to go in and take a look.
This ancient village is actually not too ancient and cannot be compared with any places of interest, but when one is bored and bored, one can walk around in these streets and see the traces of history from a hundred years ago dotted with modern buildings, foreigners and locals. When the novelty of young people and the tradition of old people collide, life will become interesting!
After leaving the village, walk a few dozen meters to "Uncle Zhuyuan Curry" on Dongyuan Street. , I had a curry pork chop rice, it tasted great!
I looked at the step record on my phone and found it was over 5,000 steps. Ha, the daily exercise goal has been achieved!
