Why is Gongzhuling called Gongzhuling?
There is a princess buried in the mausoleum. Mention her and there is a touching love story!
during the Qianlong period, there was a Mongolian prince of Dalhan in Zhengjiatun. When he was 5 years old, his wife gave birth to a daughter named Meiliqi Ge. He brought a string of bronze bells to his daughter to show that ghosts can suppress evil and ensure her long life. From then on, people inside and outside the palace called Beauty Princess Bell. The prince specially hired a Han woman-Zhang Ma as a wet nurse, and the kind Zhang Ma was very patient in raising the princess, which made the prince very happy. So, make an exception and allow Zhang Ma's son Zhang Long to enter the house. The young princess likes Zhang Long very much. They often play together. It's really childhood friends.
When Princess Ringing was 14 years old, Zhang Long's father died. Soon, Zhang Ma was driven out of the palace, orphaned and widowed, and lived a hard life. In less than two years, Zhang Ma broke down from overwork and passed away. Zhang Long, a lonely man, lived tenaciously. He practiced riding and shooting hard. At the annual Mongolian traditional Nadam convention, he became a leader in archery, horse racing and wrestling. The princess sees it in her eyes and is happy in her heart. However, the traditional concept of hierarchy and the cruel government rules and laws make them like thousands of mountains. During a hunting trip, Princess Lingling met a tiger, accidentally fell off her horse, and suddenly an arrow hit the tiger's throat, and the princess was saved. Zhang Long and the princess met again. They had a cordial conversation and refused to leave for a long time. At this time, the prince came up the mountain with the housekeeper. After listening to the princess's story about being rescued, he was also very moved, and left Zhang Long in the palace to feed the horses and drive the car.
In a blink of an eye, the princess is 17 years old, with fine features. She declined the proposal of a high-ranking official and privately made a lifelong commitment with Zhang Long to escape from the palace. Knowing this, the sovereign set a trap for Zhang Long to go up the mountain to fight tigers, and then promised him to marry the princess. Before he left, the sovereign presented Zhang Long with a treasure knife, but the sheath was filled with lead. When Zhang Long met the tiger after going up the mountain, the knife was unsheathed. However, Zhang Long, who had experienced the hunting ground, killed the tiger with a sheathed knife. However, it was shot by the housekeeper's back arrow. When the princess arrived, Zhugong had fallen in a pool of blood, and she was extremely angry. She stabbed the housekeeper with an arrow tied to Zhang Long and cut her neck.
After the death of the princess, Prince Dahan and his wife were very sad and buried their daughter with a generous gift. And in Tomb-Sweeping Day on the third day of March and the first day of October in the first calendar of every year, a few small cars come from Zhengjiatun, pulling paper money, gold and silver paper shovel, pigs, sheep and other sacrifices to the princess's grave. The Mongols who came here stayed here for a few days to eat and drink, and gave some money and things to the Shouling people before going back. Because there were bandits during the Puppet Manchuria, they sometimes came to a wheeled cart, and sometimes used mules and horses to carry sacrifices such as pig heads, sheep heads and chickens. After the sacrifice, they stayed for a day at most and left.
When the Russians built the Nanman Railway, the original design passed through the Princess Mausoleum. Because of the negotiations between the Mongolian prince and the Russians, the railway was moved to the south for more than ten miles. Later, with the development of traffic, the population near Princess Mausoleum increased, and it soon became a larger town. The homonym of Mausoleum was Ling, and Princess Mausoleum became today's Princess Mausoleum.
