Is Meizhou Chaoshan?

No. Meizhou is one of the concentrated settlements of Hakka people, known as "the world's guest capital", which is very different from Chaoshan area in language, customs and climate. Chaoshan culture and Chaoshan dialect have been widely inherited and protected in Shantou and Shanwei in eastern Guangdong, while Meizhou is adjacent to Chaoshan, but its geographical and administrative ownership is different from Chaoshan.
