Yesterday, we found a new route into Tibet (Zaduo-Nie Rong)
At around 8 o'clock last night, Brother Shan, a former member of the no-man's land crossing team, sent me a WeChat message and asked me about the route plan from Qinghai Zaduo to Tibet. This reminds me of a Xi'an self-driving guy I met last month when I was basking in the sun in the square in front of Dinqing Zizhu Temple in Tibet. At that time, he walked from Zaduo to Sezha Township on the 317 National Highway, and then along the 317 National Highway to Zizhu Temple in Dingqing. I thought Brother Shan was asking about this route, so I repeated to him the road conditions that my brother from Xi'an told me last month, and emphasized that the road conditions were very good, and that the interval between last month and now was short. , the road conditions should not change much. Basically, it takes 5-6 hours to get from Zaduo to Sezha Township. After arriving at Sezha Township, just head west to Nagqu and Lhasa. Do not go to Dingqing, Go in the direction of Qamdo. The Zaduo route into Tibet became known to the public at the end of 2017, and gradually became known as the ninth route into Tibet besides the traditional eight major routes into Tibet.
But what Xiangshan asked about was not this route at all. He had already traveled the regular route into Tibet from Zaduo two years ago. What he was asking now was whether there was a direct route from Zaduo to Tibet. A direct line to Amdo, Tibet. I asked him why he wanted to go this way, and he said two reasons: 1. He had already walked all the routes into Tibet, including the no-man’s land, and he didn’t want to repeat the same route. He wanted to open up some new routes; 2. Check the traffic around Nagqu. The investigation was too thorough, his car was too modified, and passing through Nagqu was too troublesome. He wanted to avoid Nagqu as much as possible and go directly to the Ali Dabei Line. There is nothing wrong with this idea. I asked him how he knew there would be such a route into Tibet (Zaduo-directly to Amdo). His answer made me laugh: Amdo and Zaduo have similar names, and they both have a Duo. The two places have similar latitudes and are not far apart in a straight line. They should be connected by traditional roads. A high-scale map he brought showed that there are roads at both ends, but the situation in the middle is unknown. He intuitively felt that the distance between the two places was There should be a road connecting them. He wanted to try it out to see if he could find a new route into Tibet.
To be honest, I am very disdainful of this practice of relying on maps to make strategies at home and talking on paper, so I told Brother Shan some of my thoughts: the two places belong to different provinces; There is less movement of people and vehicles between them, and it is unlikely that the line will be connected directly. Even if there are traditional lines connected, it is very easy to be cut off by landslides and mudslides during the rainy season in July and August. After the cutoff, due to low usage and no maintenance power, it may have to wait until autumn to open again. After the weather and road conditions improve; in addition, many places in Tibetan areas appear to be very close in a straight line, but sometimes you have to drive for two or three days due to the trend of the mountains and rivers. This is normal, and you cannot take it for granted just because the distance is close when you look at the map. There will be roads connecting the two places, and the issues of mountain passes and river-crossing iron bridges must also be taken into consideration; if you want to take the Ali Dabei Line and don’t want to pass through Nagqu, you can go up the Qinghai-Tibet Line and transfer before reaching Nagqu. 301 Provincial Highway Dabei Line.
But Brother Shan’s meaning is very clear: the Qinghai-Tibet Line and the Northern Sichuan-Tibet Line have been traveled many times, and he really does not want to repeat them if necessary; in addition, he firmly believes that the relationship between Amdo and Zaduo There must be a line connecting them, although I can't find any information on the Internet about how Zaduo got to Amdo to prove it. I originally wanted to go to the company the next day to check the route map before giving him a clear rejection reply, but then I thought about it. Brother Shan is also a Tibetan veteran. It is impossible to do things based on subjective guesses. Since he so firmly believes in the two There must be a reason why there are roads connecting the places. I opened the track map on my phone, zoomed in to a scale of 200 meters, and traced the route starting from Zaduo one by one to see if it was a dead end or actually connected to other villages in Tibet. After more than an hour of After tracing the route, I found a key node in the journey: Chadan Township, Zaduo County, Qinghai. There is a faint road in Chadan Township leading to Tibet. Then I entered the keyword Chadan Township into the handheld map APP, and actually found a route from Chadan Township to Tibet (the starting point is Chadan Township and Nierong County, Tibet, and after arriving at Nierong, whether to go to An Both Nagqu and Naqu are very convenient and mature routes). The uploader of this route defines this route as the thirteenth route into Tibet, and does not know the first twelve routes into Tibet by this god. These are all magical lines.
Judging from the route trajectory information uploaded by this user named Shanren, it is about 150 kilometers from Zaduo to Chadan Township, and about 300 kilometers from Chadan Township to Nierong. The total time About 20 hours, the average speed is about 22. Combined with the topographic map, we can infer that the overall road condition is not very good. It is mainly a mountain and canyon section. The route is not named and is mainly connected by traditional roads. After checking the relevant information, we can see: According to legend, this route Because in fact, the route that the princess took to enter Tibet deviated greatly from the traditional Tang-Tibet ancient road, and there was no consensus on who was who.
However, the route tracks in the APP were uploaded in the first half of 2017. Two years have passed. We have not found any changes in road conditions in the past two years or what road conditions are like in summer. Related information, but this is not important. Our courageous explorer Shan Ge is already on the road. If nothing happens, he can go to Yushu or Zaduo tomorrow afternoon, and then go deep into the forefront of the front line to bring us about The latest traffic information on this road into Tibet is broadcast.

As for the route alternatives, if this road is blocked or we cannot find the route directly, we have also arranged two alternative routes. The first one is to return the miscellaneous goods from Chadan Township. There are many counties. From Zaduo County, take the traditional route of Sezha Township to enter Tibet; the second one is to go south from Chadan Township, take Maru Township to Suo County and enter Tibet on the 317 National Highway. We found that Zaduo County and Chadan Township are really a treasure trove of Tibet. There are so many hidden routes to Tibet. If you have the chance, you should use this as your starting point and try to go in every direction.
