There are fish in the temples in Kunming.

Fish can be put in Taihua Temple in Kunming and Chongsheng Temple in Dali. Taihua Temple is located in the abdomen of Taihua Mountain in Xishan Forest Park, Kunming, and Chongsheng Temple in Dali is located in Chongsheng Temple, with Erhai Lake in the east and Cangshan Mountain in the west, one kilometer north of Dali Ancient City, Yunnan Province. The moral of releasing fish is to do good and accumulate virtue. Release is to redeem the captured fish, birds and other animals, and then put them into ponds and Shan Ye. Buddhism calls this ritual a release ceremony (referred to as release ceremony).
