Ziwei without desire
Among the dead, Emperor Taizong was the Emperor of God. When Guanyin wrote to him, she must say "Li Datang Jun". Wei Zhi, the Prime Minister, is a Cao Guan, made in heaven and earth. He can dream of the King of Jinghe, and the next letter can go straight to hell. Qin and Weichi Gong, under his command, have the courage to be improper, and all ghosts will not infringe upon them, and they have become the door gods that have been told through the ages.
In the underworld, Emperor Taizong went to the underworld, and Cui Panguan changed the book of life and death for him, changing the thirteen years of Yangshou to thirty-three years. The key point is that when he came to the underworld, the ten generations of Yanjun went out to meet him, and they bowed down to meet Emperor Taizong, and Qin, who was led by him, gave him "hand in hand" and "Liv". In terms of etiquette, the ten generations of Yanjun met the Jade Emperor.
Did the Tang emperor have such a position in the Three Realms?
Obviously not. Let's take a look at the father of Li Shimin, the founding emperor of The Journey to the West in the middle Tang Dynasty, and Li Yuan of Tang Gaozu.
In the tenth episode of the original work, Li Shimin's soul enters the city and walks along the street after entering the "Gate of the underworld". I saw the late master Li Yuan in the street, which was built by my late brother, so my brother Yuanji came forward and said, "Shimin is coming, Shimin is coming!" " After that, Yuanji came to save his life. Taizong couldn't dodge and was caught by him. Fortunately, Cui Panguan called a ghost messenger with green face and fangs and drank Cheng Jian and Yuanji, so Taizong was able to get away.
In fact, everyone is familiar with the background of this passage, which obviously implies the karma created by the change of Xuanwu Gate. In the ninth year of Wude in Tang Gaozu, Li Shimin staged a coup in Xuanwu Gate, killing his eldest brother, Crown Prince Li, and his fourth brother, King Li Yuanji of Qi, forcing Li Yuan to become the new Crown Prince and inherit the throne. Since then, Li Shimin has always had a shadow in his heart. After all, it is not a glorious thing for him to eat people and alienate his father.
Because of the completion, Yuanji was accused of treason, and their souls came to the underworld, that is, the so-called "unjust death is all in vain, there is no charge, and there is no super life." While Li Yuan stood on the same front with these two sons before his death, he was forced to abdicate and died of depression. After his soul came to the underworld, he saw Cheng Jian and Yuanji, and he was inseparable from them.
So, when Li Shimin came to the underworld, he saw "there was an old master Li Yuan by the street, which was built by his brother, so his brother Yuanji". However, when Cheng Jian and Yuan Ji tried to kill him, Li Shimin felt guilty. He didn't dare to retaliate, didn't dare to fight back, and finally "escaped". At this point, Tang Gaozu was silent and looked on coldly, which showed how much he resented Li Shimin.
Arguably, as the founding emperor of the Tang Dynasty, Li Yuan's status and position should be above that of Li Shimin, and he will be respected enough in the underworld. According to Yan Jun's attitude towards Li Shimin in the 10th generation, Li Yuan will be a special citizen in the underworld. However, all we see is a "passer-by" living on the street, being ordered by ghosts, just an ordinary ghost in the underworld.
There is a simple reason. In hell, the souls of dead emperors and kings are not so valuable. In the original work, Yan Rangcha's birthday turned sharply in the secretarial office, and reviewed the master books of Tianlu, the king of all countries in the world. Imagine that all countries in the world have monarchs. If ten generations of Yanjun were treated like Li Shimin, wouldn't they be so busy? Obviously, Li Shimin is a special case, while other kings or emperors, including Li Yuan, are ordinary ghosts in the underworld.
As to why Li Shimin was treated in a special way, this is of course related to Buddhist scriptures. In the context, Emperor Taizong's visit to the underworld is a game carefully designed by Guanyin Bodhisattva, with the aim of making Datang, the largest country in the world, believe in Buddhism. In this context, Li Shimin, the current emperor of the Tang Dynasty, naturally became a "hot potato". The tenth generation of Yan Jun, originally a bodhisattva, was of course very polite to Li Shimin.
Tang Gaozu is just one of the kings in the world. Although he was the founding emperor of the Tang Dynasty, it was a pity that he was born at an inopportune time and was no longer the object of Western Buddhism. Plus, he had been enemies with Li Shimin, and he was extremely friendly with Yuan. Naturally, he was unpopular in the underworld, so he had to live on the streets and wait for reincarnation.
There is a saying in the world that "the prince of Yan calls people to death in the third watch, who dares to keep people in the fifth watch!" Yan holds the life and death of everyone in the world, and everyone is full of awe of him, and Emperor Taizong is no exception.
Did you find such a phenomenon in the novel The Journey to the West? They are also emperors on earth, but the treatment of Li Yuan, the founding emperor of the Tang Dynasty, and Li Shimin, the later emperor Taizong, is quite different.
In The Journey to the West, when Yan saw that he was going to salute, why did he live on the streets of hell? In the tenth novel, Wei Zhi beheaded the King of Jinghe, and the King went to hell to complain. From then on, Li Shimin was possessed by evil spirits, and then he couldn't get sick and went to hell in his sleep.
Ten Dian Yan treated Li Shimin with courtesy.
As soon as he arrived, Wei Zhi's former good brother, Cui Jue, the Pluto, greeted him, paid tribute to Li Shimin and said, "Please, Prince." . You know, Yan holds the power of life and death in hell, and he is so polite to me, which shows his respect for this human emperor.
Look again, at the gate of hell and on the road, Tang Gaozu, Cheng Jian and Yuan Ji are waiting for Li Shimin angrily. Cheng Jian and Yuanji came forward to kill Li Shimin as soon as they saw him, but Cui Panguan hurriedly told the ghosts around him to stop, so the security work was very good.
When they arrived at the temple, the Ten Halls greeted the Yan people, and Qin Guangwang, headed by him, also made suggestions and made homage, as if he had regarded him as the emperor of the underworld, and also asked to put down his work and accompany Emperor Taizong and go to the underworld.
After he arrived, he changed his life and death book without permission, which extended his life and directly asked Yang to pay back the money through illegal means. Think about it. Cui Xuan is just a judge. Does he dare to do this without the authorization of the boss? It would be terrible if it were found out and sentenced to dereliction of duty in the future.
Then the problem is coming. Let's see that Tang Gaozu and Li Shimin are both emperors on the earth, and Tang Gaozu is also the founding monarch of the Tang Dynasty. Doesn't even come to see Yan, and Yan doesn't give him preferential treatment? What is the mystery behind the huge contrast?
First of all, you can be sure that this is the person named by Yan's superior to "take care of". Otherwise, think about it. There are so many emperors in the history of China in front of Li Shimin that they all need special care. Hell is not busy. So for people who have no special mission, going to hell is an ordinary soul. Those who do good deeds before their death are arranged to be pregnant and do bad things, and are directly transformed into eighteen layers of hell.
As the emperor on earth, why does hell have a different attitude towards Li Shimin?
Then hell's attitude towards Li Shimin must not be because he is an emperor on the earth. The reason is that The Journey to the West confessed that most people in the state capital of South Station did not believe in Buddhism, and the state capital of South Station was the Tang Dynasty. In that case, let your supreme ruler take a trip to hell and experience it for himself. As you can see, most people who believe in Buddhism have a good result after their death, so Li Shimin will naturally get close to Buddhism, and Tang Sanzang will get its support to learn from the West.
One more thing, Tang Priest was Jin Chan, one of Tathagata's disciples, and was punished by Tathagata for not listening carefully. But then the Tathagata felt that he had laid a heavy hand on him, but he was suddenly asked to return to his original position, fearing that everyone would not accept him.
Then let him become a monk. However, it is always necessary to learn from the scriptures. Where do you need it? It is natural to create a demand point. Then, it is logical for Tang Priest to "openly" learn from the scriptures through this trip to the underworld. After that, the golden cicada will return to the Buddhist country, and everyone has nothing to say.
As far as Buddhism is concerned, South Station Buzhou is rich in products and has a large population. Once you are allowed to believe in Buddhism, you will naturally have to make incense as a confession in the future, which can be described as killing two birds with one stone. Then the Tathagata came up with this idea and told Guanyin. Guanyin Bodhisattva naturally got the message, arranged Buddhist scriptures and conveyed them to the Tibetan King Bodhisattva.
Who is the Bodhisattva? That's the boss of Yan Shidai. Under everyone's guidance, Emperor Taizong Li Shimin successfully entered the game and became a "hot potato" in the underworld.
Where do these Tang Gaozu know? They can only blame themselves for their untimely birth, because the Buddhist scriptures appeared in the Tang Taizong dynasty, but failed to become the object of Buddhism, so he had to silently play the role of a passerby in the underworld.
Summary: Li Yuan is just one of the kings in the world. Although he was the founding emperor of the Tang Dynasty, it was a pity that he was born at an inopportune time and was no longer the object of Western Buddhism. In addition, he had been enemies with Li Shimin and had a harmonious relationship with Yuanji. Nature is unpopular in the underworld and can only live in the streets and wait for reincarnation.
Fiction comes from life above life. Not as strict as laws and regulations, some unreasonable details are normal …
Since you ask sincerely, I will answer you seriously.
Legend has it that Li Shimin is the reincarnation of Emperor Wei Zi in heaven, so Yan Luowang and other local officials will naturally pay homage to Li Shimin.
In The Journey to the West, Li Shimin is the brother of Tang Priest, because the Dragon King of Weihe River wants something from Li Shimin. Although Li Shimin agreed, because of an accident, he didn't help the Weihe Dragon King, so the ghost of the Weihe Dragon King came to Li Shimin every night to kill him, but the Tang Priest saved Li Shimin's life in the Weihe Dragon King incident.
Later, Li Shimin's eldest brother and younger brother suffered a lot in hell, so they tried to drag Li Shimin's soul into hell. But in hell, when Yan Luowang saw Li Shimin, he was a courtier, and other judges and emcees were even more grovelling. Li Shimin frightened to disgrace, puzzled. Yan Luowang explained that Li Shimin was a king and they were ministers of ghosts, so it was an appropriate courtier.
But when you think about it, people are all souls after death, and there is no distinction between monarch and minister, so I can see that what Yan Luowang said is false. According to the rumor in the sky, Li Shimin is the reincarnation of the Great Emperor Wei Zi.
In fact, Emperor Wei Zi was also a giant of Taoism, and his position was second only to that of the Jade Emperor. In addition, the three Luo Jinxian tied together with him are called the four emperors of Taoism, which shows that they can be said to be pivotal in the heaven, just like the princes in the royal family of the Qing Dynasty, and they are the kind of princes with terrible power.
It is precisely because of this identity that the more powerful immortals are both respectful and afraid of Li Shimin, while local officials such as Yan Luowang are just high-ranking officials in heaven, so it is natural to be very scared to see the reincarnation of Emperor Wei Zi.
The Journey to the West's eighth verse is "I made a Buddhist sutra and spread it to Chang 'an". Well, who ordered Guanyin? It's obviously Tathagata. As Tathagata said, I have been to four continents:
What do you mean? If the Tathagata wants to actively persuade the good, if he sends the scriptures to the east, he is afraid that "all beings are stupid, slander the truth, don't know the gist of my teachings, and neglect the authenticity of yoga." Therefore, the Tathagata should go to the East to find a "good faith" and then "teach him to travel thousands of miles across Qian Shan, come to my place and get the true scriptures, and spread them to the East forever to persuade all beings". Guanyin Bodhisattva accepted this task, and the story began!
First of all, Li Shimin was the monarch of the dynasty, and all walks of life were prosperous when Yang Shou was not in the public eye. "Three States are full of flowers, and eight waters are around the city." Li Shimin manages the country well, and before driving, there are "heroes who are happy for the country and the people, and heroes who compete with entrepreneurs for Xinjiang", which is a scene of prosperity.
Although Li Shimin "founded countless countries and killed countless people", he was a wise king, and he had a number of important officials, so it was inevitable that he would ascend to the throne. When Emperor Taizong met a ghost, Weichi Gong and Qin were standing outside the door. There are Cao Guan who enforce the law impartially in the DPRK, and Cui Jue who saves lives in the underworld. Besides, he is in his prime and his life is not over yet.
Second, Li Shimin was invited to Wei Zhi's underground mansion to be beheaded in his sleep. Originally, Emperor Taizong promised to save his name, but he was beheaded by Cao Guan Wei. The soul of King Jinghe haunted the sleeping Emperor Taizong, who refused to leave and wanted to argue with the prince. Emperor Taizong knew he was guilty, so he was speechless and sweaty. Just when we were inseparable, Guanyin Bodhisattva appeared.
This passage is the key. Since Guanyin Bodhisattva came to save Emperor Taizong, she would not easily let King Jinghe kill her. So the next "Emperor Taizong's Resurrection in the underworld" is what Guanyin Bodhisattva expected. Wei Zhi asked Emperor Taizong to send a letter to Cui Panguan. Who is this Cui Jue?
There is a ghost in front of Wei Zhi, and there are two "door gods" among the dead, and there is a death warrant from the judge in the underworld. It is estimated that Guanyin Bodhisattva will go to the underworld to give directions, and the success of learning the scriptures will be half done. This is written by The Journey to the West:
Later, Yan asked Tang Taizong for pumpkins and had them delivered. Later, he borrowed the gold and silver treasure of Henan Xianglaoer to buy ghosts. Later, Liu Quan died. These experiences changed Tang Taizong's view on Buddhism, and he decided to hold an amphibious meeting ... Guanyin chose Xuanzang!
In a word, Cao Guan was remonstrated in Li Shimin, and the town's keeper was in ghosts. Cui Panguan changed his life, and Emperor Taizong was very popular. The game made by Guanyin Bodhisattva introduced Li Shimin into the underworld step by step and changed his fundamental view of Buddhism step by step. This was the later land and water conference, and Xuanzang became a monk. As for Li and Li Yuanji, ghosts in the underworld are all equal, and they are judged only by the good and evil of the dead, not by their official positions.
In The Journey to the West, in order to formally implement the plan of Journey to the West, Li Shimin got a day trip to the underworld. When they came to the underworld, even the Yan paid tribute, while the dead, Li, and others lived on the streets of the underworld like beggars. Why are they all sons of the Tang Dynasty, but their endings are different?
It sounds as if the whole thing is so unfair, but in fact, neither hell nor heaven need to pay tribute to mortals.
Because no matter how high the mortal status of the world is, how can it be managed by hell? You can't control me. Why should I respect you?
Just as the chief of a certain tribe in Africa comes to us, so do the people of their tribe. Must we kneel on the ground to pay tribute to these African chiefs?
Although it sounds uncomfortable, it is actually the case. For hell, Li Shimin is just a mortal, and has nothing to do with hell. After Li Shimin's death, he will also be controlled by hell.
To some extent, our future is actually Yan's hand, and he should salute in turn.
But we should know that this world is a world of westward journey, and everything in the whole world can't be separated from westward journey, and Li Shimin is the biggest promoter of this matter.
That is to say, in the whole plan, Li Shimin is the most important link and belongs to an indispensable category. Only when Tang Priest became the younger brother of Li Shimin's minister and got the clearance from Li Shimin, the king of Tang Dynasty, could he officially start his journey to the West.
So when Li Shimin came to the underworld, all this was arranged by people, so that the westward journey could go smoothly.
We all say that we are rigid without desire, but when we ask for help, our backs will come down.
The important reason why Yan Rang went to the underworld was to make him feel deeply, thus contributing to the beginning of the westward journey.
To put it bluntly, at this time, Yan was thrown out by the god above to act, just to convince him that only after the westward journey can he and others get out of their misery.
So this matter involves begging, and asking for help will be rude. Yan first let people stand in the street, and as soon as they saw it, they rushed up and fought.
After the loss, Yan reappeared. After all, he is asking for help, so his attitude is very important. Li Shimin suffered a loss, and that was when he was most injured.
Yan's appearance directly gave him a reassurance, and in order to show that his jurisdiction was unfavorable, the king of Tang was wronged, so he saluted him.
To put it bluntly, Tang Wang was scared by what happened just now. This is a bad thing for Yan, and at the same time, it is also to better let him go to hell. This is just a diplomatic means.
It was Li Shimin who saw all this in hell and saw that he was treated differently from Tang Gaozu and others, so his inner feelings were different.
Many times, without contrast, there is no harm. Tang Gaozu was once the emperor of the Tang Dynasty, but when he came to the underworld, he fell to such a point. Over time, will Li Shimin be inferior to his father Tang Gaozu when he enters the underworld in the future?
The so-called sinful others may not understand, but Li Shimin is sure that he will go to hell. Although all this is for the land of the Tang Dynasty, these people's lives are all because of themselves.
So Li Shimin began to think of ways to alleviate his sins, so the westward journey began, and the Tang Priest could also go on the road safely. The Monkey King was finally released from Wuxing Mountain, and the task of Yan was completed.
All this is because of the one-day trip to hell, because of his status at the moment, so he got Yan's courtesy, and others have become a member of hell, so they are living on the streets of hell, and all this is actually a play for the smooth opening of the westward journey.
Thanks to the platform. Say a few words, Li Shimin, because Wei Zhi was beheaded, the dragon prince, the dragon prince begged Li Shimin, and Li Shimin fell asleep. It is for this reason that Li Shimin came to the underworld, and Yan Jun, the tenth temple, met Li Shimin and presented him with a gift. This is because Li Shimin is the emperor of Wei Zi in the sky, second only to the Jade Emperor! Wei Zi, the great emperor, is highly respected in heaven. He is the second-in-command in heaven. He is in charge of the administration and the sky. Dear stars, he has great power. Wei Zi, the great emperor, Li Shimin! If in heaven, she is the superior of Ten Temple Yan Jun, then it is natural for Ten Temple Yan Jun to visit Li Shimin, and the official level is crushing people. In addition, Li Shimin was the highest emperor in the Tang Dynasty. So what? In contrast, the Ten Temples are big, so the Ten Temples Yan Bureau is of course polite, while it is an ordinary fairy made in heaven and earth! Not as tall as Li Shimin? The legend of the Great Emperor Wei Zi, reincarnated 700-800 years, 1000 years. The Great Emperor Wei Zi appeared and was reincarnated! It will benefit the people and bring good luck. Thank you.
In the episode of Zhang Jizhong The Journey to the West and Li Shimin entering the underworld, Li Shimin knelt on the ground and accepted Yan Luowang's question. As soon as he said "I", he was scolded by the prince: "There is no me here, only Li Shimin." Tang Huang knelt down and trembled with fear, just like ordinary people. In the original novel, Yamaraja in the tenth hall heard that Li Shimin had entered the underworld and greeted him one by one. After inviting Li Shimin to sit on the throne, he said to him, "Your Majesty is the king of the dead, and we are ghosts of the underworld." In fact, the TV series version of Journey to the West that we saw has been adapted a lot and has lost its original meaning.
Why did Li Shimin go to hell? King Jinghe is dead. He hated Li Shimin for not coming to save him and came to Li Shimin for his life. Li Shimin therefore wandered to the underworld. As soon as Li Shimin came in, Judge Cui Jue greeted him. As an official of the underworld, he used to be the state minister of the Tang Dynasty, and he shouted respectfully one by one. Interestingly, Emperor Taizong didn't know Cui Jue, so he asked him who he was. As you can see, Cui Yu is not a veteran of Li Shimin, but a veteran of Tang Gaozu.
Cui Jue didn't explain too much. He showed Li Shimin around the underworld. At the gate of hell, Li Shimin met his father and his brothers Li and Li Yuanji. Needless to say, Li and Li Yuanji, when they saw those who killed them, all rushed up to kill them, but also let out a cry. It turned out that Cui Jue, his minister, found a beadle to drink the father and son back at this time. Li Shimin just watched his father and brother being driven away by ghosts.
Why did Li Yuan receive such treatment in the underworld? Li Shimin is so popular?
Cui Jue is an old minister of Tang Gaozu. He is an official of this country, but Li Shimin has never heard of it. Obviously, Cui Jue died abnormally and was probably destroyed by Tang Gaozu. In order to cover up all this, Tang Gaozu completely erased Cui Jue from the history books. Cui Jue came to the underworld and was promoted to a modest official, which shows that he has made positive contributions all his life and has the ability to handle affairs. It's not hard to understand why Cui Jue was so heartless to his old master that he didn't even want to do it himself, so he just found a small official.
On the one hand, it is a personal feud between Cui Jue and Tang Gaozu; on the other hand, it is Tang Gaozu's attitude towards religion before his death.
During the Sui Dynasty, Buddhism entered the peak of development. The prosperity and development of Buddhism in this period made people who believed in Buddhism understand that only by relying on the rulers of the dynasty could the purpose of propagating religion be achieved. All this reversed after the founding of the People's Republic of Li Tang, and there was a saying among the people that "Lao Zi died and Shi Li was king". King maoshan taoist sent a message around Emperor Yangdi. After learning that Tang Gaozu was at war, Qi Hui, a Taoist priest, donated all the materials and food in the Taoist temple to Princess Pingyang, Tang Gaozu's daughter.
After Li Yuan came to power, the country was more inclined to Taoism, and Laozi became the ancestor of the Li family, which formed a mutually beneficial relationship with Taoism. After the founding of the People's Republic of China, Li Yuan was hostile to monks. After demarcating the territory, he will secularize most monks in the area. Li Yuan added a fire to Taoism, and since then, Buddhism and Taoism have been debated.
Li Yuan forcibly suppressed Buddhism, which is why the fruit he swallowed now is to be a wandering soul in the gate of hell.
Besides, it is no accident that Li Shimin wandered in hell.
For example, once Mahayana Buddhism spread to the Tang Dynasty, Guanyin took over the task. The Buddha gave him five treasures, one was a magic spell, two were given to Tang Priest as equipment, and the other two black bears and Hong Haier were taken back to the South China Sea by Guanyin for their own use.
Guanyin came to the Tang Dynasty to preach Buddhism and free all sentient beings from suffering, but died in Chen Guangrui, and Tang Priest became Jiang Liuer. The life of Tang Priest was completely planned by Buddha. Isn't the robbery in Li Shimin planned in advance?
Li Shimin was treated with courtesy. What he saw in hell was the most shocking thing about his brother and father. After he came back, he held a land and water meeting, looked for a monk to recite scriptures, and turned people over.
Li Shimin in history is indeed much more tolerant than Tang Gaozu, and Buddhism is not extinct. Buddhism hopes to continue to expand its business in Datang through the hand of Li Shimin. On the other hand, the Jade Emperor was also in a passive position, hoping to restrain the old gentleman's dominance through Buddhism, and various conspiracies contributed to this experience.
Does Datang really need to learn from the classics to save the country? Of course not! The Tang Priest has gone a long way. The king of every small country he met was either timid or stupid. A little monster can subvert the whole country. Li Shimin is wise, there is no evil rebellion. Whenever foreigners hear about the Tang Dynasty in the East, no one does not respect it. Interestingly, among these monsters, there are many mounts, pets or attendants below the gods and buddhas. These evil monsters kill and set fires, hurting loyalty. It is euphemistically called to create a "81 difficulty" for Tang Priest. Isn't this the normal state of all countries under the "Buddha's light shines"?
In Lion Tuoling, the nearest to Lingshan, the three monsters in the original book ate all the people in the country and hung their skins on the wall. One of the monsters is still Tathagata's uncle according to generations. If you follow this "omnipotent" way, isn't it a bit of a slap in the face?
This is actually the world of Journey to the West. Because the person expected by Buddhism is never the Tang priest, but the emperor of the Tang Dynasty.
In the setting of The Journey to the West's four continents, Li Shimin, who was born in Emperor Taizong, is the ruler of the South Station and belongs to the King of People. Among the three realms, it belongs to the existence of five countries and five old styles. At least in actual status, it is comparable to the existence of Guanyin Bodhisattva and Tathagata. Yan is lower than the Five Kingdoms and the Five Old Ages. It is normal to salute the citizens of Li See.
Li Shimin's father, Tang Gaozu Tang Gaozu, was also an emperor, but he was not a king. In other words, there have been many emperors since ancient times, but at the same time, there are not many emperors. There were Zhou Wang in Shang Dynasty and Li Shimin in Emperor Taizong.
Therefore, Tang Gaozu belongs to the general emperor, and there will be no special treatment in hell. As for living on the streets, there is no such description in The Journey to the West's original works, only that when Li Shimin went to the underworld, he saw his father Tang gaozu and his younger brother on the road.
Because when people knew that Li Shimin was coming, they waited on the side of the road, ready to attack him. So, we met in the street. Don't say, Tang Gaozu.
Tang Gaozu was the first emperor of the Tang Dynasty, and there were countless descendants to sacrifice. How can he sleep on the street? Even in the underworld, it is a good existence.
There are many reasons why The Journey to the West Zhongyan saw the salute, but Li Yuan and others did not live in the street, but waited there. Why did Li Shimin go to hell?
The reason is that the King of Jinghe and a mortal Taoist bet to tamper with the rain, and the official in charge of beheading is Wei Zhi. The Dragon King pleaded with Emperor Taizong in his dream and was granted. Unexpectedly, before Emperor Taizong could play games, Wei Zhi killed the old dragon in his dream, and the old dragon murdered his life, which led to the death of Emperor Taizong. Taizong was detained and confronted in hell.
On the surface, this is the reason, but if you taste your delicious food, is there anything wrong? A mortal is too hot. He wins the battle with the immortal dragon king, or Wei Zhi is sentenced to death. Taoist asked Lao Long to intercede with Emperor Taizong, but before Emperor Taizong asked, Wei Zhi dreamed of beheading Lao Long, so Emperor Taizong was taken to hell.
Is there a feeling of trap?
Look at Li Shimin's treatment in hell:
1. Taizong received Wei Zhi's letter, met Cui Jue, the judge of the underworld, and said that everything was arranged. A pair of tsing yi teenagers held banners and sent a message: "please welcome the prince, please welcome." Two "please" in a row
2. When I reached the death gate, I walked along the street and found Li Yuan, Cheng Jian and Yuan Ji waiting in the street. As soon as I saw Taizong, I came up to fight. Li Shimin dodged and was caught. Cui Panguan sent a ghost messenger with blue face and fangs, drank Cheng Jian and Yuanji back, and let Taizong escape.
3. The judge bowed down to greet him, and His Royal Highness Yamaraja, the tenth generation of Yanjun, bowed down to greet him. Li Shimin, Emperor Taizong, was doomed to live a long life in The Book of Life and Death. The judge added two strokes, and Emperor Taizong added another 20 years of life.
Why is there such treatment?
1. This book is The Journey to the West, and everything is for learning Buddhist scriptures. Tang Sanzang, who learned from Buddhist scriptures, will become his younger brother in the future. He also needs to understand and support Buddhism when he gets the customs clearance documents and returns to Datang to spread Buddhism.
Li Shimin came for a day trip to the underworld, but he didn't really go there, so he was treated as a tourist.
Avalokitesvara Bodhisattva is the driving force of a day trip to the underworld in Li Shimin. Guanyin informed the underworld and asked Yan to arrange the contents of a day trip to the underworld by Emperor Taizong. He arrested Emperor Taizong on the grounds that Lao Long complained, and arranged for Li Yuan and Cheng Jian to wait near the entrance in order to "slap a candy", so that Emperor Taizong was shocked first and then moved by the sight of hell. Tang Gaozu is not living on the streets, but waiting for Li Shimin to "catch up".
3. Li Shimin's position is extraordinary.
Originally, the human world was the lowest among the three realms. Even the emperor on earth, Yan doesn't have to kneel down. Li Yuan was also the founding emperor. But Li Shimin's identity is unusual. Li Shimin is the reincarnation of Emperor Wei Zi, and Emperor Wei Zi belongs to one of the four Taoist emperors. The four emperors of Taoism are the four gods who assist the jade emperor, ranking below the jade emperor. Emperor Wei Zi and the Jade Emperor belong to the Six Emperors, and they are in charge of the Three Realms just like the Jade Emperor. The rank is scary, how can Yan people be disrespectful?
Even courtiers in Li Shimin have immortal positions, and they can return to heaven after death. Wei Zhi killed the old dragon this time.
Yan worked for Guanyin Bodhisattva and put his soul in the underworld. Although I had to, I was afraid that it would be settled in the second quarter, so I bowed down to meet him and accompanied him to travel, adding another 20 years to Taizong's life.
In this way, Emperor Taizong was able to yearn for Buddhism, support Buddhist scriptures and pave the way for his reincarnation. Although the old dragon king is a fairy, he is only a small role and needs to give way to the Buddhist scriptures and the Great Emperor Wei Zi.
