History of Hongshiya Sub-district Office

It is said that since 1898, Shao Mingkui, Li Zhenyuan, Yi Hanchi, Yang Shoucan and other nearby villages such as Shao Jia, Yang Yi Jia and so on have successively come here to do business and set up shops. Since then, people have come here to do business and live. Residents come from two provinces and 24 counties. Because it is located in the sea cliff, the earth and stone are red, so it is named Hongshi Cliff. According to the version of the Republic of China, it was called Hongshiya in the late Qing Dynasty. The town was included in Jiaoao Concession during Guangxu period of Qing Dynasty. Before liberation, it belonged to the fifth district of Jiaoxian County, Longquan Township, Anlin Township, Caowen Township and Haixi District of Qingdao Special City, with a total of 62 villages. 1949 when Jiaonan county was first established, Hongshiya was designated as the eighth district, 1958 changed Hongshiya Township and Dongfanghong People's Commune, 1959 changed Hongshiya People's Commune, and 1984 set up a town. Since the 1960s, the town has carried out five administrative division reforms. 1962, five villages including Qianwan and Wopeng were designated and Huangdao People's Commune was established. Xiaoshitou Village was placed under Xin 'an Commune1973; 1976, Xugezhuang and Cross Garden were placed under the Working Committee of Huangdao District, 10 Wang Jiadao Hull, Zhangxiaozhuang and other villages were placed under Wangtai Commune; 1996, 8 villages, including Zhanggezhuang and Fajiayuan, were placed under Huangdao Office; In June 2004, 65438+ 10/,Hongshiya Town was placed under the jurisdiction of Huangdao District. In May 2005, a sub-district office was established in Hongshiya Town.
