Introduction of Jinhua Wanfo Pagoda?

Jinhua Ten Thousand Buddha Pagoda is a landmark building of Jinhua ancient city, which was built between the seventh year of Jiayou in the Northern Song Dynasty (1062) and the first year of Zhiping (1064). The original site is located on the hillside of Taxia Temple, Jinhua City, Zhejiang Province. Originally, it was a nine-story octagonal pavilion-style brick-wood structure, which was initiated by Zen master Juzheng, formerly known as "Miyin Temple Tower". Because each brick in the upper half of the outer wall of the tower is carved with different exquisite Buddha statues, rows of them stumble and sit on the lotus platform for tens of thousands of days, so it is called "Ten Thousand Buddha Pagoda".

On each brick in the upper half of the outer wall of the tower, exquisite Buddha statues with different diameters are carved, and there are tens of thousands of statues sitting on the lotus terrace in rows, so it is commonly known as the "Ten Thousand Buddha Pagodas". Because of its early construction time, multi-level tower body, large scale and gorgeous carving, it is well-known in the southeast and is known as "the first tower in Zhejiang".

Ten thousand pagodas not only stand in time and space, but also stand in the hearts of Jinhua people from generation to generation. This Millennium Pagoda collapsed when our motherland and nation were facing great danger. It collapsed like a giant and a brave warrior in the most difficult years of sacred War of Resistance against Japanese Aggression and at the darkest dawn of the destiny of the nation. 1in the spring of 942, in retaliation for the Japanese attack on Pearl Harbor, the Japanese allied forces dispatched a large number of bombers to attack Tokyo, Japan at night. After the successful sneak attack, the plane originally planned to land at Quzhou Airport in Zhejiang. Therefore, the Japanese aggressors regarded Hangzhou, Quzhou and Jinhua as a thorn in their side and a thorn in their flesh.

1957, cultural relics workers excavated 188 cultural relics from the underground palace of ten thousand pagodas, including pagodas, bronze statues, bronze mirrors and stone carvings. Among them, the most exquisite "Five Dynasties gilded bronze Guanyin statue" is a national first-class cultural relic, which is now collected in the National Museum.

The newly rebuilt Wanfo Pagoda was officially started on 20 14, with a height of 99.99 meters and a total of 9 floors. At the same time, the underground palace with a total area of 1900 square meters was built. Wanfuta Park covers an area of 102.2 mu. It was built in Long Mai, Jinhua, close to Guzi City, which preserved and strengthened the geomantic advantages of the original site to the greatest extent.
