Hubei storytelling artist

There are many storytelling artists and famous artists in Hubei, and each school has its own unique and representative bibliography, which is a sign that urbanization promotes the maturity of storytelling art. After the founding of the People's Republic of China, intellectuals were recruited to make it unique. Since 1958, works and actors have won awards all over the country, and some people have been listed as "Top Ten Storytellers in China".

In the early stage of Hubei storytelling, the famous folk artists Tong, Wang Danpu, Liu Weizhou and Xia Xiufeng were called "Four Flags", while Xiaogan He Yushan, Tianmen Jiang Chunshan and Yingcheng Xu Zhenshan were called "Three Mountains" of storytelling. In 1930s, there appeared three schools of Rong, Chen and Jiang, represented by Rong Zhongsheng, Chen Shutang and Jiang Yunqing. Li Shaoting learned from the strengths of the three schools and became a famous storyteller in Wuhan, while Shen Bangshou's storytelling was very popular because he was good at creating a stage effect. He Zuohuan, chairman of the Provincial Folk Writers Association and a famous storytelling artist in Hubei Province, studied under Li Shaoting. He learned from others and raised Hubei storytelling to a new height.
