Several Fogs on the Sea —— Over the Warm Current in Winter? Cold current?
Sea fog is a weather phenomenon of water vapor condensation in the lower atmosphere of the sea surface. Because it can emit light waves of various wavelengths, it is often milky white. There are two conditions for the formation of sea fog: first, when water vapor condenses, there must be condensation nuclei (such as salt particles or dust) as condensation nuclei, otherwise water vapor cannot form water droplets without support; Second, condensed water droplets (or ice crystals) must be suspended in the air layer near the sea surface for a long time, so that the horizontal visibility is less than 1 km. Due to the different causes of sea fog, it can usually be divided into advection fog, mixed fog, radiation fog and terrain fog.
Although there are many kinds of sea fog in the world's oceans, advection fog, which is affected by the cold current, has a wide range and serious impact. This kind of fog prevails in spring and summer, especially in summer. The fog has a large concentration and lasts for a long time, and it can last for a month or two seriously. Evaporative fog often appears in high-latitude waters, or in the peripheral waters of icebergs and ice flows. This kind of fog has small concentration, thin fog layer and many changes.
