Pu 'an Temple is located at the southern foot of Maoshan Mountain, surrounded by towering ancient trees, beautiful greenery, clear water and blue waves, and the scenery is boundless. The temple was founded in the second year of Liang Ganhua (9 12), and was originally named Maoshanyuan. In the first year of Zhiping (1064), Song Yingzong granted "Pu 'an Temple", commonly known as the first temple. At the entrance of Pu 'an Temple, there is a solemn and quaint archway named "Suocui Guanyun", and a plaque inscribed "The First Mountain in the South" by Chen, our ambassador to Sichuan, hangs downstairs. There are Maitreya Hall and Tianwang Hall at the entrance. There are two thousand-year-old ginkgo trees in front of the hall, which are more than ten feet high. A few people are surrounded by each other, and the clouds are towering, which is called the excellence of Yin Nan. There are seven pagodas in the Hall of Ursa Major, which are five products deep and eight feet wide, with Nicodemus in the middle, Wen Zhu on the left and Pu Xian on the right. The Buddha statue is beautifully carved, kind and solemn. Behind the Buddha statue, there is a map of Guanyin Island, a talented woman and a dragon girl, and twenty-four sea gods, which are lifelike and lifelike. Behind the main hall are the sutra depository and the Buddhist chanting hall. There are three temples in the side hall, namely the statue of San Mao Brothers and guanyin temple.
Pu 'an Temple has experienced thousands of years of vicissitudes and been rebuilt after several changes. Until 19 16, the map of the whole Buddhist temple and Guanyin Island was reshaped, and 1000 Buddhist temples were built behind the main hall, which was not implemented due to the war. 1935, Pu 'an Temple was repaired and expanded for the last time. Wang Zhen, a famous painter, painted a statue of Lohan as a gift, and Lin Sen wrote a plaque. The original bronze bell of more than a thousand Jin in the temple is said to have been carefully cast in Japan with the help of the Hu family in Qiantang. There is an ancient well in the Song Dynasty behind the temple, a peak pavilion at the top of the mountain, and the tomb of Fan Qin, the right assistant minister of the Ministry of War, who is the owner of Tianyi Pavilion. In the early 1940s, a fire razed the temple to the ground. There is still an ancient well in the Song Dynasty behind the temple.
