The upper body is olive brown, the tail is covered with reddish brown feathers, and the lower body is grape brown. Cheeks and ear feathers are white, with black eye lines and zygomatic lines, which are very eye-catching on the light-colored head, and nose feathers are black and cover the forehead, hence the name "black forehead noise". Both flight feathers and tail feathers have white terminal spots. These features are obvious and easy to identify in the wild. The iris is brown, the upper mouth is dark, the base and feather edge of the lower mouth are yellow-green, the foot is brown, and the toes are dark brown. The blackbird mainly inhabits alpine shrubs and bamboo forests, subalpine coniferous forests and coniferous and broadleaved mixed forests, followed by undergrowth shrubs and bamboo forests. They often move in pairs, mostly foraging in the deciduous layer on the ground and bryophytes under the forest. It mainly feeds on insects such as beetles, LEPIDOPTERA larvae and flies, and also eats plant fruits and seeds. Blackbird is an endemic bird in China, which is only distributed in the southwest, south and southeast of Gansu and Nanping and Pingwu in northern Sichuan.
