Why are natural disasters becoming more frequent?
Due to excessive exploitation and utilization of nature and industrialization, the ecological environment has been destroyed.
The greenhouse effect has been produced, and the polar glaciers have melted, changing the climate, causing frequent disastrous weather, and triggering disasters such as flash floods, mudslides, and overflowing rivers. This is a warning to mankind that we cannot violate the laws of nature and should live in harmony with nature. We cannot develop at the expense of the environment. We must make full use of renewable energy and follow the path of sustainable development.
Sustainable development is development that meets the needs of the present without compromising the ability of future generations to meet their own needs. They are an inseparable system that not only achieves the goal of economic development, but also protects the natural resources and environment such as the atmosphere, fresh water, oceans, land and forests that human beings rely on for survival, so that future generations can develop sustainably and live and work in peace and contentment. Sustainable development and environmental protection are related but not identical. Environmental protection is an important aspect of sustainable development. The core of sustainable development is development, but it requires economic and social development under the premise of strictly controlling population, improving population quality, protecting the environment, and sustainable utilization of resources.
