Did Pang Juan violate the place name?
Ruyang place name: Manliu Village, named after the story of Pang Juan and Sun Bin.
Mention Manliu Village, and the old people in the village will narrow their eyes and tell you beautiful legends with relish. It is said that during the Spring and Autumn Period and the Warring States Period, Sun Bin from Qi and Pang Juan from Wei sworn sworn brothers on their way to seek teachers. Together they went to Guigu Village in Yunmeng Mountain to worship Mr. Guigu as their teacher, where they learned the Six Taoist Strategies and Three Strategies, and how to set up military formations. One day, he heard that "The State of Wei is recruiting talents with a lot of money and visiting generals and prime ministers." Pang Juan was moved and wanted to apply for a job in the State of Wei in order to gain wealth, but he was afraid that his husband would not let him go and he was too distracted by his studies. Mr. Gui Gu was aware of his appearance and knew his intentions early. However, he cherished Pang Juan's talent and gave him some advice to retain him. Mr. Gui Gu asked Sun Bin and Pang Juan to go to the upper reaches of the Ru River, twenty miles away from Yunmeng Mountain, and cut back the "Bodan Yu firewood" within one day. The two of them thought it was a hundred loads of firewood, so they each prepared dry food and axes to chop firewood together early the next morning. The result was that Sun Bin relied on his IQ to make a pole out of cypress branches and carried back a load of elm firewood; while Pang Juan used his physical strength and clumsiness to spend a day cutting 200 bundles of elm firewood, hoping to borrow the power of the river to transport him. The result is that not only the firewood is scattered, but too much firewood blocks the river and slows down the river flow.
It can be seen from this incident that Pang Juan was slightly inferior to Sun Bin. The story spread and the village was named.
