How to get to the Nujiang Shiyue?
There is a huge marble cave at the peak of the 3300-meter middle section of Gaoligong Mountain Range. This hole is 100 meters deep, 40 meters wide and 60 meters high. You can see this cave with white clouds and blue sky hundreds of miles along the Nujiang River. It has a nice name, called Shiyue. It seems to have stood there since the beginning of the world, and it has existed in the ancient flood myth of Lisu people.
In Lisu language, it is called Yahaba, which means stone moon. Everyone who sees it wants to get close to it. However, it seems to be a place for the brave. The mountains here are steep, the roads are rugged and the climate is changeable. Without courage and perseverance, it is impossible to reach the top.
Go to the Stone Moon, take a bus from Fugong, drive north along expressway for many kilometers, get off at Lisa Station in the repetitive area, climb up along the path beside Gaoligong Mountain, and after about a whole day's journey, stay in Miolo, a small village under the Stone Moon. Choose a flat land in the village, you can set up a tent and make a fire to cook. Miolo is an ancient Nu village, where county cultural relics teams can often collect Neolithic stone axes and other things.
The people carefully collected stone axes and put them in rice cabinets for good luck. Early the next morning, climb the cliff and you will soon reach Shiyue. The cliffs around Shiyue are unfathomable. There are three extremely old dead trees in front of it. Clouds are rising, and the garden suddenly disappears, making you feel like you are in a palace in the sky. The cold wind is dizzy. If you look at the rivers, sea of clouds and Robbie Snow Mountain in the Nujiang Grand Canyon in the east, it will be beyond words.
The cause of the stone moon is that the Nujiang Gorge lies between the Eurasian plate and India.
