Typhoon "Compass" is approaching our country. Where will it land?
After Typhoon "Compass" formed in the sea east of the Philippines, it gradually moved towards our country. According to meteorological satellite observations, "Compass" is moving to the west and will soon hit Hainan Province in my country. Landed and swept over Hainan Province from east to west. If the typhoon stays on land on Hainan Island for a short time, it is likely to re-enter the South China Sea to regain strength and eventually enter Vietnam.
Typhoon is an extreme weather phenomenon. When a large amount of water vapor in the ocean evaporates, rises and enters the atmosphere, a small tropical cyclone will be formed. Tropical cyclones will further absorb water vapor from the ocean and expand their own water vapor reserves. At the same time, the rotation speed near the center will become faster and faster. When the wind force near the center of the cyclone reaches 17.2 meters and above, this tropical cyclone can be classified as a tropical cyclone in meteorology. A cyclone is defined as a typhoon. According to observations, the central wind force of typhoon "Parabus" reached level 9 on October 11, that is, the wind speed was 23 meters per second. It is expected to land on Hainan Island on October 13, when the central wind force can reach 25-30 meters per second. .
Affected by the subtropical high pressure, Compass's current path is quite straight, moving rapidly westward. When "Compass" passes over Hainan Province, its strength will be reduced. However, since the east-west distance of Hainan Island is not large, it is very likely that the typhoon has not dissipated on the land and the center will re-enter the ocean area. We understand that typhoons rely on the ocean for water vapor and energy replenishment. Once the typhoon re-enters the ocean, it can replenish its water content and strength, and then continue to move westward. Eventually, it is likely to enter Vietnam.
The typhoon movement route we see on the weather map only refers to the central movement trajectory of the typhoon. In fact, Typhoon Compass is a moving cyclone with a huge radius. According to expert observations, on October 11 The radius of the Category 7 wind circle of a typhoon reaches 200 kilometers, and the outer wind circle is even larger. Fujian, Guangdong, Guangxi and other provinces are expected to be affected by the typhoon and produce heavy rainfall.
