It is the border mountain between Henan and Hubei provinces, opposite to Tangzi Mountain in Zaoyang, Hubei Province, and belongs to the remnant vein of Tongbai Mountain. Named after a purple jade that once appeared on the mountain.
3. Lotus holding Buddha
There are different legends about this scene. Some people say that Huyang Dongda Temple has a lotus pond with a Buddhist temple on it. Some people say that there is a Buddha statue in the hall of Qiankulin Temple, which looks like a lotus petal. It is also said that there is a stone Buddha statue (Bordet Ji) in Tangxian Temple, sitting in a lotus petal carved with tree roots; Others say that there is a small Buddhist temple at Lianhua weir in the south of the county.
4. Kamei cold spring
Kamei, located in Yuxian Temple about one mile west of the original county town (the ancient ruins no longer exist), has a cold spring next to it. According to old books, during the Yuan Shizu period (A.D. 1260- 1294), when the Yuan army attacked Xiangfan, green turtles appeared in the well.
From the viewpoint of feudal superstition, the rulers of the Yuan Dynasty thought it was a good omen for the Yuan Dynasty to destroy the Song Dynasty, and sent troops to offer turtles to the capital. Yuan Shizu ordered a temple to be built here, and in A.D. 1268, a stone tablet was erected beside the well, which was engraved with a decree prohibiting taking turtles at will (this tablet is now in the Cultural Center). There is no water in the back well, and the tortoise is no longer producing.
5. Spit snow on the bridge
In the east of Chikulinji (now Tanghe No.1 Middle School), there is a big ditch. There is a three-hole stone bridge over the ditch. The piers are anchored and the bridge deck is paved with stone strips. Because this bridge is located at the air outlet, when it snows in winter, snowflakes roll and fly on the bridge, but they can't land on the bridge deck, so it is called "snow pours from the bridge".
6. The stone pillars are towering into the sky
Shizhu Mountain is located in the southeast of Qiyi Township, north of Sifang Mountain, 80 miles away from the county seat. This mountain is about 2500 meters high, and there are two big stones standing like pillars on the top of it, which is about 10 meters high. There is an iron ring on the post, which is said to be the place where Dayu guided Huai River.
7. Yellow Pond Reflects the Moon
There is a pool in front of the ancient Confucian Temple (now a sophomore), because there is a big stone in the pool, which looks like a big seal, also known as Yinchi (the ancient site no longer exists).
