According to the automatic measurement of the China Seismological Network, an earthquake of about 4.7 magnitude occurred near Yanyuan County, Liangshan Prefecture, Sichuan at 19:26 on September 12. The epicenter was located at 27.92 degrees north latitude and 101.52 degrees east longitude. A magnitude 4.4 earthquake occurred in Xiangjiao Township, Muli County, Liangshan Prefecture, Sichuan, at 27.9 degrees north latitude, 101.4 degrees east longitude, and with a focal depth of 15 kilometers.
After the earthquake, the Sichuan Provincial Seismological Bureau assigned the Liangshan Prefecture Earthquake Prevention and Disaster Reduction Bureau to send an on-site team to the earthquake area immediately. At the same time, it required neighboring counties to collect earthquake disaster information, strengthen earthquake tracking, and be on emergency duty. Be on duty and report disaster situations in a timely manner.
As of 20:30 on the evening of the 12th, after preliminary investigation and verification, there were no casualties in Liziping Township, Xiqiu Township, and Baidie Township in Muli County, and a small number of houses in Baidie Township suffered from tiles; Yan Eight towns in Yuan County, including Dapo Township, Wali Township, Wodi Township, Meiziping, and Pingchuan Town, all felt the earthquake to varying degrees.
