Wuyishan is a city in Fujian Province.

Wuyishan City, a county-level city under the jurisdiction of Fujian Province, is managed by Nanping City. It is located in the northwest of Fujian Province and at the junction of Fujian and Jiangxi provinces. It belongs to the mid-subtropical region. It was formerly Chong'an County and was built in the Northern Song Dynasty. In the fifth year of Chunhua (AD 994), in August 1989, the county was approved by the State Council to be removed from the county and established as a city. It is the only emerging tourist city named after a famous mountain in Fujian Province.

Wuyishan City is surrounded by mountains in the east, west and north, with many peaks. The central and southern parts are relatively flat and are mountainous and hilly areas. The urban area is 210 meters above sea level. The landform is clearly layered and distributed in a ladder shape. The terrain slopes from northwest to southeast. The highest point, Huanggang Mountain, is 2,158 meters above sea level, and the lowest point, Xingtian Town, is 165 meters above sea level (the river bed elevation is 160 meters above sea level).

Climate:

Wuyishan City belongs to the mid-subtropical monsoon humid climate zone. It is characterized by four distinct seasons, sufficient sunlight and abundant rainfall. "Spring cold" often occurs in spring; summer is hot and thundery with frequent typhoons; autumn is sunny and windy, with crisp air, and sometimes "autumn tiger" weather occurs due to high temperatures; winter is the season with the least precipitation throughout the year.
