What is Imperial Hill?
Ancient place names. Emperor Qiu is an ancient place name in Henan. The Gaocheng site is located south of Gaocheng Village, Wuxing Township, southeast of Puyang County, Henan Province today, on the south bank of the Jindi River, the old course of the Yellow River. The name of Gaocheng comes from Emperor Zhuanxu's Gaoyang clan, and Gaocheng's original name was Gaoyang City. According to legend, it was the capital of Zhuanxu. In 629 BC, Duke Cheng of Wei moved his capital here from Chuqiu. It was named Puyang during the Warring States Period, and Puyang County was established in the Qin Dynasty.
