The climate of Phnom Penh
The weather in Phnom Penh is tropical and is very hot and humid due to the influence of high pressure in the Gulf of Thailand (Gulf of Siam) and the Indian Ocean. The climate is divided into two major seasons. March to October is the "rainy season", with high temperature and humidity. In extreme hot weather, the temperature can occasionally rise to 38-39°C; November to April is the "dry season", with low temperatures of about 22℃, but it is still not cool but rather hot during the day; the lowest temperature is occasionally 17~19℃. The average annual temperature is between 28-34℃. The best tourist season is between November and January when the temperature is suitable.
