1. What is Lubanchi?
Lu Banchi, also known as "Lu-like ruler" and "Square ruler", is about 42.9 cm long. It is said that it was written by Lu Ban in the Spring and Autumn Period. Later, eight words were added to the geomantic circle to measure the good and bad luck of houses and houses. This has been proved by the experiments of relevant people in the field of architectural science at home and abroad, and has been widely adopted by Chinese communities in Hongkong, Taiwan Province Province, Southeast Asia, North America and developed coastal areas in China.
Now it has been widely used by craftsmen, mainly to check whether the planed plates, purlins and structures are vertical and whether the edges are at right angles. Lubanchi is widely spread in geomantic omen and architectural culture. The ancient book records that "Lu Banchi is one foot, four inches and four minutes, eight inches between feet, and one inch is accurate and one inch is eight minutes." The "bending ruler" is a carpenter's ruler used by ancient carpenters, and its length is the same as that of the building ruler promulgated by the Ministry of Industry of the imperial court in previous dynasties.
Because the building in Ming and Qing Dynasties is 32 cm long, Lu Banchi is 46.08 cm long, and Lu Banchi is 5.76 cm per inch. There are very few Lubanchi handed down from generation to generation. The Palace Museum in Beijing has a Lu Banchi, 46 cm long, which is very close to the length of Lu Banchi recorded in ancient books.
Second, the type
