Magellan handheld GPS2000 receiver Chinese manual

Chinese manual of GPS2000

Fixed point: GPS2000 receives satellite signals and calculates a coordinate value to describe your unique position on the earth. This position is called the obtained fixed point. The calculated coordinates are this fixed point. The fixed point can be seen on the Location screen.

Landmark: (LMK) Fixed points can be named and saved, and may be called waypoints in many cases in practical applications.

Go: You can select a destination landmark by pressing the "GOTO" key, and GPS2000 will guide you to your destination from your current position and get the bearing and distance information.

Route: The route is a little different from "walking". The route contains starting and ending landmarks, and may contain other landmarks on this road. The route can go from one landmark to another, or as many as 29 landmarks.

Road section: A road section is the distance between two landmarks in the route, such as from A to B, then to C, then to D, including three road sections.

Altitude: GPS2000 can calculate your altitude.

HDG: GPS2000 is used to define the direction in which the receiver moves on the earth's surface.

BRG: Azimuth is 0 degrees in the north, calculated clockwise. Azimuth indicates the direction you want to reach the target.

Using four No.5 alkaline batteries, GPS2000 can be used continuously 17 hours. You can feel the resistance when loading the battery, and you can find the sealing ring on the battery cover.

initialization

In order to continuously calculate your position, GPS2000 must be able to track at least three of the 24 GPS satellites orbiting the earth. Because it can only observe satellites above the horizon, it must know the location and time of observation. In the memory of GPS2000, there is a corresponding relationship between the ephemeris of the satellite and its geographical position. In order to use this ephemeris, GPS2000 should know its approximate location with an error of no more than 300 miles, and the current date and time. The data of GPS2000 is cleared before leaving the factory. To initialize GPS2000, it can calculate the position of the fixed point in three minutes. You don't need to initialize the coordinates. In this case, GPS2000 will search all satellites in turn and calculate the fixed-point position when four satellite signals are received (in this case, it will take more than 15 minutes).

Initialization is performed in the following situations:

The memory is cleared.

Moved more than 300 miles when closed.

Initialization steps:

Press the ON/OFF key for more than two seconds to start the machine, press "MNU" to select "Settings" from the main menu, press "ENT" twice to find the coordinates of the city nearest to you and not more than 300 miles, and use the up, down, left and right arrows to enter the coordinate values and time values. If the receiver can monitor the sky well when inputting, it may not prompt the time and date.

Now that you have initialized GPS2000 and entered the approximate location, GPS2000 already knows the information about the related GPS satellites.

Go outside to an empty place.

Home screen:

location

In the location screen, you will see the search first, and then it will be replaced by the status bar. When the three squares of this status bar are filled, it means that it has received a complete satellite signal. When this status bar disappears, you will get the coordinates of your first fixed point. If you are still searching after 3 minutes, please check the following three items:

1. Is the sky covered?

2. Check whether there is any error in latitude and longitude, and pay attention to the difference between east longitude and north latitude, west longitude and south latitude.

3. Check whether the time setting is correct, especially in the morning and afternoon.

If not, please initialize again.

After obtaining the coordinates of the fixed point, you can save the current fixed point for later use.

In any wizard screen, press the "ENT" key three times, and then use the arrow keys to name the fixed point.

After saving this fixed point, you can use it anywhere. No matter where you are, GPS2000 can bring you back.

You can also directly ENTer the coordinates and height to create a landmark, press ent in the location screen, then select, select Create LMK, and then press ent.

Go: it's very simple. Press GOTO, select an existing landmark from the menu or enter coordinates directly, and then GPS2000 will calculate the information you need to reach your destination.

GPS2000 navigation:

The established route is simple, and there are four maps for navigation. Use the up and down keys or navigation to switch between these four screens. Four screens, you can find the one that suits you best.

The plotter shows your route and the track you have traveled. It makes it easy for you to see how you move.

Boot: Press and hold the on/off button until the boot screen is displayed.

The receiver starts searching for available satellites and displays the search results.

Once the satellite signal is received, the search will be replaced by the status bar. At this time, in addition to the predetermined latitude and longitude, the preset altitude and time and WGS84 are also displayed. Among them, only the time and date are correct, and the latitude, longitude and altitude are not calibrated. WGS84 refers to the world geodetic coordinate system formulated by 1984. The status bar indicates that a complete satellite signal has been received. When more than three satellites are locked, accurate latitude and longitude can be calculated. At this time, the "lock" will flash and then be locked. When three satellites are locked, only the latitude and longitude can be calculated. At this point, 2D will be displayed. When the height is calculated correctly, 2D will disappear. Usually it will be turned on again after initialization, and it will take 2 to 4 minutes to locate. Due to different settings, the location may display different coordinates and time modes. It can be changed in the settings. Press on/off, and after counting for 5 seconds, the receiver will turn off. Press on/off again within 5 seconds, and it will close immediately. Press other keys, it will not be closed. Press LIGHT to turn on the background light, and then press close, which consumes more power. Press ENT on any navigation screen to pop up the menu. After selecting the contrast, you can use the left and right keys to adjust the contrast, and then press ENT key to return to the navigation screen.

Create a landmark:

Users can name themselves, or the system automatically names landmarks.

Press ENT on any navigation screen, select the save location, and enter the name of the landmark. If you don't enter a name, press ent directly, and the system will automatically assign -lmk0 1 and -—LMK02 as names. If you try to copy the name, you will be prompted to repeat the landmark name, and then press CLR to return to the saved location and rename it. You can also directly enter coordinates to create landmarks.

On the navigation screen, press ENT, select create LMK, press ENT, ENTer a name or press ENT to automatically name it, then ENTer the coordinates, press ENT to save it after completion, press MNU to rename the landmark, press ent, select the name and press ent, and landmark information will be displayed. Press ent to pop up a menu, select rename, and press ent to save it after renaming. If the landmark has already been used, it will copy the landmark and create a new landmark. This machine can store 100 landmarks. Press MNU, select LMK list, select a landmark and press ENT to view it. Press the left and right keys to view one or the next landmark. Press ENT to pop up the landmark menu. Select Clear to delete the landmark, and then select Yes to delete after being prompted for confirmation. Landmarks cannot be deleted if they are used for a route or go to a menu. You must first delete the route or change the GOTO target.

Last fixed point: GPS2000 saves the last fixed point to the LFIX buffer every 10 minute. This function is used to activate the return trajectory function.

You can rename, view or clear the last fix in the LMK menu.

Activating "Go" is a single route from your current location to the specified location. Press GO TO, then select the target, and then press ENT. Select a route to activate the selected route.

The third screen: When ROUTE or GO TO is activated, the destination indication will be displayed. If the receiver is moving, your direction will be displayed directly above, and you can also see how much you should turn to get back to the target. When moving, the triangle is at the top of the arc, otherwise the top of the arc indicates the north as the reference direction. The following heading deviation indicates that the arrow is up, indicating that the direction is correct and the target is straight ahead. A slight tilt to the left or right means that you are about a quarter of a mile off course. You should turn left 45 degrees. An arrow to the left or right means that you should turn immediately. If you go ahead, you will miss the goal. If you go down or down, you should immediately turn back and move in the direction of the arrow. If the target deviates from the actual course by 90 degrees, the target indication disappears, and the direction sign still shows and points to the target.

This screen shows your ROUTE, the arrow indicates the direction of your destination (when you set GO TO or activate Route), and TTG indicates the time required to reach the target at the current speed.

The fourth screen shows your route and distance, and your direction. Press the left and right keys to use different scales to point out the direction of the north according to the actual position in the moving map. And show the correct direction to reach the destination and the trajectory that has been traveled. The scale indicates the distance represented by the entire screen width.
