Travel in Southeast Guizhou, urgent need for guide

During the Spring Festival of 2014, after carefully studying the map of China, I finally selected a travel destination that was probably not well known - Qiandongnan. Many people may be unfamiliar with Guizhou. Among the relatively backward southwestern provinces, it is one of the more backward. In terms of travel resources, there is Zhangjiajie Phoenix in the east, Guilin Yangshuo in the south with world-class scenery, and Dali and Lijiang in the west. Myth, the Three Gorges of the Yangtze River in the north has a long history, but southeastern Guizhou, because it is in such an angle, has not been noticed by more people. In fact, this is the cultural dream of the mountainous province, along with Miao, Yao, Shui, Dong, and Buyi The Duliujiang River is spread all over southeastern Guizhou. Different ethnic groups and different languages are destined to make this place a place of cultural blending. The Spring Festival should be the most lively moment here. Choosing to celebrate the New Year in a village of ethnic minorities is better than living in a village. Cities with many tall buildings are much more interesting.

First of all, let me talk about the route design. I originally planned to go through southeastern Guizhou, but then I found that I had enough time, so I finally took the southeastern Guizhou + Qiannan Grand Ring Road: Zhenyuan Ancient City-Kaili (Xijiang Qianhu Miao Village) ) - Liping (Longli Ancient City, Zhaoxing Dong Village) - Congjiang (Basha Miao Village) - Libo (Big and Xiaoqikong) - Guiyang (Qingyan Ancient Town).

About the weather: The weather in Guizhou is relatively changeable. During the Spring Festival, the sun can reach 25 degrees on sunny days, but it can also drop to below zero on rainy days, so down jackets and thin summer clothes You need to bring clothes. It was basically over 20 degrees during the few days we were in Qiandongnan, but we saw that many tourists didn’t bring light clothes. It was so hot.

1. Zhenyuan

The first stop of this trip was Zhenyuan because it is the easiest place to reach in southeastern Guizhou. Other ancient towns, Miao and Dong villages are only There are highways, but Zhenyuan is a city located along the railway. Zhenyuan may not be so well-known nationwide, but it is very famous in Guizhou. It is the first of the four ancient towns in Guizhou, the other three are Guiyang Qingyan, Chishui Bing'an and Jinping Longli.

There is no direct train from Beijing to Zhenyuan, not because it does not pass through this section of railway, but because Zhenyuan Station is too small, and all trains starting with T do not stop, so they need to change to K at Yuping or Kaili The first train is the only one. Fortunately, the K65 from Guangzhou was not delayed when I transferred at Yuping. I boarded the next train without leaving the station and arrived at Zhenyuan Station at nearly 8 o'clock.

It is three kilometers from the train station to the ancient city. Taking a taxi costs 5 yuan per person, but it is more recommended to walk there because you will pass Zhou Dawen's former residence and Heping Village on the way. I probably didn't notice Zhou Dawen's former residence when I passed by, so I only went to Heping Village. Heping Village was a Japanese prisoner of war camp during World War II. The Communist Party brainwashed hundreds of Japanese soldiers here. It has classrooms, auditoriums, dormitories, and kitchens. , the vegetable fields are well preserved. In fact, the little Japanese who came here were really lucky. They had food and drink and no need to fight. In 1945, they were all sent back home.

After passing Heping Village, you will not be far from the ancient city. The ancient city is located by the Dancing Water. It is different from the Jiangnan or Sichuan-Shaanxi style ancient towns. In the far reaches of the town, there are high-rise buildings on the ground, four or five-story brick buildings. The wooden buildings are lined up along the Dancing Water, and when seen from the bridge, they look very row upon row.

The central area of the ancient city is built on the hillside, combining the layout of the courtyards in Jinzhong with the architectural characteristics of Sichuan and Shaanxi folk houses. What you can see now are small courtyards. It is rare that it has not changed into business and maintained Keep the original work and rest life. In addition to the ancient city area, there are three old buildings in the ancient town that must be mentioned: Zhusheng Bridge, Qinglong Cave, and Tianhou Palace. The Zhusheng Bridge was originally nothing new, but there was a Kuixing Pavilion built on the bridge. It was said to be related to the number one scholar in the imperial examination, and it was really beautiful. After passing the Zhusheng Bridge, you will arrive at the Qinglong Cave. The ancient buildings of the Ming Dynasty are said to be wall-mounted. Naturally, they are built according to the mountain. If you don’t want to worship Confucius or Lao Tzu, you don’t have to go in. You can appreciate the whole ancient town. Exterior view. Thean Hou Temple is not located in the central area of the ancient city, and is only a small palace. Mazu is worshiped inside, which is related to the water transportation of dancing water. Wherever there is water transportation, Mazu will bless it.

There is another good place in Zhenyuan City - Shiping Mountain. The foot of the mountain is the central area of the ancient city. From the top of the mountain, you can see the panoramic view of Zhenyuan. A bay of clear water flows eastward. There is another trick to climb Shiping Mountain. If you go from the main entrance of Shiping Mountain in the town You need to buy a ticket to climb the mountain, but Fuxing Lane and Sifangjing Lane in the central area of the ancient city all lead to the back mountain. You don’t need to buy a ticket to go up from there. If you are not sure about the route, just ask the locals. Everyone goes up the mountain that way.

In Zhenyuan, the most famous thing is probably its night view. The lanterns on the Consecrated Bridge, the houses with lanterns hanging on both sides of the new bridge, the colors that remain clear or change in the dancing water, and the twilight. At the right time, Zhenyuan shows its quiet and solemn beauty.
