Why do the joints of the body always ring?

Many joints in the body are snapping, most of which are physiological snapping. Because the human body will bounce when carrying a load or flexing and stretching joints, when each joint moves, the joint cavity itself is a closed cavity, but when the joint flexes, air enters, gas diffuses, and gas bounces due to vibration.

It can also be broken due to the friction between tendons, muscles, cartilage, ligaments and bone surfaces during joint activity. Pathological snapping sounds are more common in some middle-aged and elderly people with high physical activity intensity. With the degeneration of joint capsule, the relaxation of ligament, the proliferation and calcification of tendon, or the stenosis caused by the degeneration of tendon sheath, the poor nutritional status of articular cartilage leads to calcification and elasticity decline, and joints often click many times in physical activities.

Other joint pathological clicking sounds mostly come from the clicking sound of a single joint, but not from multiple joints, such as the clicking sound of hips and knees, which is related to muscle degeneration, calcification and meniscus lesions.
