The story of the cormorant and the fisherman
The fisherman keeps a cormorant. This cormorant is very clever. The fisherman taught it to fish, and it didn't take long for it to learn. A rope is tied around the cormorant's neck. This rope can control the big fish from being swallowed by it through different tightness, so it can only fish in eat small fish every time.
This cormorant catches many big fish for the fisherman every day. The fisherman takes these fish to the market and makes a lot of money. Fishermen took out some money and raised some new cormorants. Under the demonstration of the old cormorants, these new cormorants quickly learned fishing skills and fishermen's command, and the fishermen's fishing team grew stronger and stronger.
Until one day, the fisherman raised a new cormorant. This cormorant is a little different. It asked the old cormorant a question: "Why can we only go to eat small fish?" The old cormorant is experienced, but this question can't be answered at the moment.
The little cormorant went on to say, "The fisherman didn't do anything, but because the fish we caught made a fortune, he used the money from those fish to install a rope with better quality and more accurate control of the size of the fish." We have nothing, but eat small fish can barely fill his stomach. "The other cormorants were silent and glassy-eyed, and the little cormorant just shut up when he saw it.
The next day, cormorants shuttled back and forth between the river and the fisherman's boat as usual. The big fish gradually filled the fisherman's boat, and the fisherman smoked happily on the boat, in a good mood.
Suddenly, a cormorant rushed out of the water and went straight to the fisherman. Accompanied by a harsh and noisy cry, it beat the fisherman wildly with its wings and pecked at his face with its beak. The cormorant was stunned. This is the little cormorant asked yesterday.
The fisherman finally got the upper hand in the fight. The fisherman caught the little cormorant's wing with his hand. The little cormorant couldn't move, crying for help. His eyes are full of anger, fear, and perhaps a little disappointment. Cormorants are silent and glassy-eyed.
No one knows where the cormorant finally went, but several cormorants found many cormorant feathers in the ditch in front of the fisherman's kitchen. The river still flows, cormorants shuttle through it, and everything remains the same.
The moral of this story
1, honesty and self-discipline
Fishermen work hard to catch fish by themselves, but they violate their self-discipline and ethics, and let cormorants work for him, but they don't give a reasonable return. This shows that honesty and self-discipline are very important values, and if these values are violated, it will lead to unfair and immoral behavior.
Step 2 master skills
Cormorants can fish well and are appreciated for their skills. This tells us that it is very important to master skills and abilities. Whether in the workplace or in daily life, we need to constantly learn and improve our skills.
3. Fair and reasonable
Fishermen's unfair distribution of caught fish, just like unfair distribution of resources in real life, is likely to cause inequality between the rich and the poor and social conflicts.
