Millennium tassel forest is located in the east of Diaozhuang Village, Shaozhuang Town, Qingzhou City, Shandong Province, and five miles west of Qingzhou City. Queshan is 528 meters above sea level, with a limestone mountain, which is majestic and steep. The vegetation on the mountain is very good, all kinds of natural and planted trees are green, and all kinds of birds fly and sing in the forest, which makes people feel the fantasy and mystery of nature. Que Mountain has had a large-scale mountain meeting every year since the Tang Dynasty, and Ren once cultivated his true nature in this cave in the Song Dynasty.
The tassel, also known as "beef tendon" and "tea tree", belongs to Oleaceae, and there are two species of willow, which are produced in China and North America, Shandong 1 species. It blooms in late spring and lasts for about half a month. The top of the white flower is fragrant, and the slender corolla blooms upward, just like the tassel of ancient ladies' clothing, hence the name.
As a protected tree species, wild willow is rarely distributed in Shandong. However, the fringed forest only exists in Queshan, Qingzhou, and is called "Millennium fringed forest". This willow tree is distributed on both sides of the mountain road at the foot of Queshan Mountain. It is understood that this is the largest and oldest tassel forest in China, with 67 willows, which has a history of more than 800 years, and the smallest one is over 100 years old. Every April and May, tassels as bright as snow always arrive as scheduled, and the blooming willows are as dense as clouds and as white as snow, which has become a rare landscape and attracted thousands of tourists to take photos.
Queshan tassel, believed to have been planted in the Northern Song Dynasty, has a history of more than 1000 years. Every flowering period, tourists from far and near come to enjoy the beauty of this Millennium. Que Mountain is also a sacred mountain with stories. The ancient trees in the mountains are towering and quiet.
Queshan Millennium tassel forest blooms at the end of April and the beginning of May every year, and the flowering period is about half a month. The best viewing period this year is around May Day. The budding tassels are particularly delicate, and the breeze is Xu Lai. The layers of flowers are covered with frost and snow, and the "silver-wrapped" embellishes the spring scenery, which is beautiful and charming, so it has the reputation of "thousand-year tassel snow in April".
