The Historical Evolution of Li Ji Village
Li Ji Village, formerly known as Qili Village, was established at the end of Yuan Dynasty. It was named after Qili Road across Hengjie, Ma Yao and Nanxun. Later, Qilisi was valued by the world for making materials for the robes of Emperor Kangxi and Emperor Qianlong in the Qing Dynasty. The name of Qili Temple remained until the original name of Kangxi Ugly Year of Qing Dynasty (A.D. 1685). It was not until the early years of Yongzheng (A.D. 1723) that there was a record in ancient books that "Hu was named as Jiangsu and Zhejiang in the series". It can be inferred that Qili was refined into Li Ji in the late Kangxi period (A.D. 1685~ 1722), probably because silk merchants in Nanxun Town admired silk. Qili Village has also been transformed into Li Ji Village! Because the pronunciation of "Qi" and "Ji" is similar, and "Ji" has the meaning of weaving, so this is not unreasonable elegance. "Li Ji Village", "The wealth of farming and mulberry is the first in Zhejiang", "The benefit of sericulture is not the best in the lake, especially in Nanxun". The words of praise left by the ancients all praised the farming and mulberry industry in Nanxun, an ancient town in Zhejiang Province. Nanxun's agriculture and mulberry industry is also famous for its "Husi Series". Li Ji Village has always had the reputation of "Li Ji Lake Silk is the best in the world" and is famous at home and abroad. As early as the end of the Yuan Dynasty, after the village became a village, the villagers cultivated excellent varieties, planted mulberry and sericulture, and were good at producing lake silk. After the middle of Ming Dynasty, Nanxun's Gillis became famous in China. Because the river in Li Ji Village flows from the snow (interest) river in the Pearl River Estuary in the east, and after several twists and turns, it is diverted to the silt stream in Li Ji Village in the west, and it is clarified, which naturally provides fresh water for reeling, which is inexhaustible all year round. In addition, people in Li Ji Village have been exploring and improving the techniques of seed production, sericulture and reeling, so that the produced lake silk has the characteristics of "fine, round, uniform and solid" and "white, clean, soft and tough". During the Wanli period of the Ming Dynasty, it gradually entered the international market. Silk produced in Hangzhou, Jiaxing, Huzhou and Suzhou is exported in the name of "Li Ji Lake Silk" and has been selling well for a long time.
