Lushan tourist attractions:
1. Shirenshan Scenic Area is located in the west of Lushan County, Pingdingshan, Henan Province, in the eastern section of Funiu Mountain, with a total area of 268 square kilometers and the main peak Yuhuangding (-Stone) is 2153.1 meters above sea level, with more than 240 main landscapes, 160 peaks above 1000 meters above sea level, and 30 peaks above 2000 meters above sea level.
It is named after its strange peaks, numerous waterfalls, dense forests, excellent hot springs and brilliant cultural landscapes. Shiren Mountain was called Yaoshan in ancient times because Yao's grandson Liu Lei built a temple to worship his ancestors. This is where the surname Liu originated.
2. The construction of the Zhongyuan Giant Buddha began in 1997 and was consecrated on the first day of September 2008. It took 12 years and an investment of 1.2 billion yuan. The Buddha is 208 meters high and uses 108 kilograms of gold, 3,300 kilograms of alloy copper, and 15,000 tons of special steel.
The Dharma of the Great Buddha is solemn, standing majestically in Foquan Temple at the foot of Mount Yao, surrounded by nine-story peaks. It looks like a green dragon coiling on the left, and a white tiger crouching on the right. There is a red bird spreading its wings in front, and a Xuanwu guarding behind. Coupled with the holy water of Shahe River that flows all year round in front of the Buddha, and the Buddha Spring and Soup Ground, the landscape is rich in resources and the environment is beautiful. It is a rare Feng Shui treasure land.
