Tongren city, a prefecture-level city under the jurisdiction of Guizhou Province, is known as "the famous city in western China". Located in the northeast of Guizhou Province, in the hinterland of Wuling Mountain, bordering Huaihua City, Hunan Province in the east and Chongqing City in the north, it is the link between the south-central region and the southwest border and enjoys the reputation of "the gateway to the east of Guizhou".
