The Origin of Wenfeng Pagoda in Fuyang
The tower is an all-brick structure, with seven-story octagon as a whole and a height of 31.8m. There is a tower room on each floor, and the north gate of the tower is the entrance of stairs, which can climb the spiral stairs to the top floor. Kuixing Building is located at the intersection of the southeast wall of Fuyang Old Town, so it is also called "turret". According to legend, climbing the building on a sunny day can overlook Huoshan Mountain, so it is also called "Wanghuo Building" in the old county annals and commonly known as "Three-shed Tower" locally.
The tower was built in the second year of Wanli in the Ming Dynasty, namely, A.D. 1574. At that time, it was expanded by Zhao and rebuilt in A.D. 1870 in the ninth year of Tongzhi in the Qing Dynasty. The tower is of all-brick structure, with three hexagonal floors and a height of 9.93 meters. All three floors have rooms, but they are not connected.
