Feng shui is fake, right?
Before the Eastern Jin Dynasty, although the ancients had mastered the art of geomantic omen and used it to select sites for palaces, cemeteries and other buildings, no one gave an accurate definition of geomantic omen. Compared with ancient times, science and technology are quite developed now, and many people doubt the scientific nature of geomantic omen and even think it is superstition.
However, some people still think that since our ancestors have studied Feng Shui for thousands of years, it must be unusual, but it is difficult for ordinary people to understand it, let alone use it freely, so there is a certain misunderstanding. During the Jin Dynasty, a cow named Guo Pu appeared. He not only has a deep research on Feng Shui, but also gives a clear definition of Feng Shui according to his own research.
Guo Pu wrote a wonderful book called Buried Sutra, in which he wrote: "Burying people is beneficial to their qi. Qi dissipates by the wind, and the boundary water stops. The ancients gathered to make it last forever, and the deeds stopped, so it was called Feng Shui. " It is precisely because of this that Guo Pu is called "the originator of geomantic omen", and the world has such an evaluation of him: "The technique of astronomical divination in the cave and the five elements turns disaster into disaster, and will not stop until it reaches its goal. Although Fang Jing and Guan Yu can't get through it. "
According to records, Guo Pu loved Confucian classics since childhood and was very interested in Zhouyi and other books. At that time, there was an awesome man named Guo Gong, who was proficient in divination. He thinks that Guo Pu has fine bones and is very suitable for learning Feng Shui, so he cultivated it carefully. A few years later, Guo Pu had an epiphany. He was better than Lan, and his attainments in geomantic omen had surpassed those of his master Guo Gong.
Besides geomantic omen, Guo Pu is also good at divination, and can predict the great events that will happen in the future. During the reign of Emperor Jinhui, Guo Pu counted his fingers. Even though there was going to be a war in his hometown, he was not very famous at that time, and many people didn't believe his prediction. In desperation, he fled his hometown with his relatives and took refuge in the south. As he expected, after he left for more than a month, his hometown Hedong was occupied by the enemy.
Those who didn't escape are very sorry. If they had believed Guo Pu, they wouldn't be so miserable now. From then on, Guo Pu became more and more famous, and many dignitaries regarded him as a guest of honor. A few years later, Guo Pu's mother died of illness. Prior to this, although Guo Pu had calculated the date of his mother's death, he was helpless, because birth, illness and death were natural laws.
After her mother died, Guo Pu made a shocking decision to build a cemetery for her by the river. In ancient times, the cemetery was built on the mountain or in a relatively high place, and it would never be built near the water, otherwise the cemetery would definitely be flooded in case of flood. Many relatives of Guo Pu called him an unfilial son, but they were afraid to explain him. They all blamed him blindly, which made Guo Pu quite depressed.
Surprisingly, Guo Pu chose this cemetery for his mother, which is located in a land of geomantic omen. Since my mother was buried here, not only has there been no flood, but many years later, it has become a fertile land, where powerful people have buried their relatives. At this time, Guo Pu's relatives realized that he had good intentions and praised him as a child prodigy.
