Deciduous trees, 20-30m high, DBH up to 1 m; The bark is grayish brown and peeling off one by one. The leaves are opposite, membranous, ovoid or broadly elliptic, 7- 13cm long and 3.5-5cm wide, the top suddenly shrinks, wide and short, the base is blunt, the sides are unequal, the edges are wavy, the top is dark green and hairless, and the bottom is pilose. Later, except along the veins, all the others became hairless, with 7-9 pairs of lateral veins, as thin as 65438. Petiole 4-8 mm long, flat, pubescent. The panicle is 1 1-30 cm long, 3-8 cm wide, 4-sided, densely grayish brown stellate pilose; Flowers are many and dense, small and clustered; Flowers (5-) 6 cardinal, flower buds subglobose and pilose; Calyx is 2 mm long, vein 12 is not obvious, initially stellate pubescent, then hairless, with triangular lobes, nearly as long as calyx tube, hairy inside, with a thickened tip at the top, and small and upright appendages; Petals yellow-white, wide triangle, rectangle, oblique base, claw length 1- 1.2 mm; 6 stamens, inserted near the base of calyx tube, about 6 mm long, anthers round; Ovary spherical, glabrous, 5-6-loculed, style 5.5 mm long.
