Where does iron ore come from?
Iron ore is the dominant mineral in Liaoyang area, with a producing area of 2 1 and a total reserve of 2 1 100 million tons, ranking second in the province. The ore grade is between 26% and 35%, and there are six metallogenic types: late magmatic iron ore point 1 and three mineralization points, which are distributed in Longchang, Beizhuang, Xiaobeihe and Helan. Longchang is a vanadium-titanium magnetite spot, and the rest is small in scale and low in grade. There are two hydrothermal iron deposits in Daankou, Jidongyu, and two hematite spots in the red soil of Taziling. There are six contact metasomatic iron ore producing areas, Erdaohezi is a small deposit with five ore occurrences, namely Daxigou, Gunner Nangou, Longchang Town Yingchanggou, Daniuling and Xiaohuangling. Geographical distribution is concentrated in the area from Daniuling to Helan Town, which generally belongs to small and rich authigenic magnetite and is suitable for local small-scale mining. There are three sedimentary iron ore producing areas, distributed around Xiangyang Temple, with deposit 1, which is suitable for comprehensive mining. Metamorphic iron ore * * * has 15 origin, mainly distributed in the north and east of this city. Among them, Gongchangling and Daheyan are large-scale deposits, medium-sized deposits are Bapanling, Huangnigang, Dawanggou, Maerling, Pandaogou, Hongqibaozi and Yanlongshan, small-scale deposits are Sandaoling, Tizigou and Yinjiangbaozi, and Chenjiabaozi, Fengshuigou and Gaojiabaozi are ore occurrences. Gongchangling Iron Mine has six ore-bearing beds, some of which are rich in ore with a grade of 60%. This type of iron ore reserves accounts for 98% of the whole area. Tiemao Iron Mine is located in Lingdong, Jiadonggou, Tuanshanzi, Hujiagou and Kangjiaxigou, but it is small in scale and has few reserves, so it can be mined on the spot.
