There are different opinions on the systematic position of Chloranthaceae. Most scholars believe that plants such as Chloranthaceae and Piperaceae have the same trend, mainly because the stamens are attached to the back of the ovary, the ovules are straight, the leaf base is sheathed, the nodes are thickened, and the stems have some anatomical characteristics. In addition, the chromosome number of Chloranthaceae is also close to that of Piperaceae.
