Basic introduction of Gulou bridge
Taizhou Gulou Bridge connects Renmin East Road to the south and Jindong Road to the north. It is a multifunctional landscape bridge integrating transportation, tourism, leisure and entertainment. The total length of the bridge is 160.5m, and the bridge width is 43.6m m. The substructure of the bridge is a five-span reinforced concrete arch bridge, and the upper part is a 220m corridor and a 10 pavilion. There is a small hydrophilic curved bridge under the bridge. The design load of the bridge is steam-20, the suspension is-100, and the seismic intensity is 7 degrees.
Gulou Bridge has created four firsts of China Arch Bridge:
1. This bridge is not only equipped with motor vehicle lanes and non-motor vehicle lanes, but also equipped with a 220-meter promenade and a 10 pavilion. It not only has the traffic function, but also can be used as a place for citizens' leisure and entertainment. It is the first bridge in Chinese history.
2. There is a 10 skylight on the isolation belt, and spotlights are arranged, which can not only light up, but also see the cruise ship and running water under the bridge from the skylight. This is the first time in China.
3. The pier design adopts 1/4 sphere for the first time and is covered with Jinshan stone, which is simple, elegant and generous. Under the night light, the eight spheres are exquisitely carved, just like eight pearls embedded in the dongcheng river, giving people beautiful enjoyment!
4. Four 1.2m square dragon head reliefs have been installed on the east and west facades of the bridge, which are the ancient mascots of China to ward off evil spirits, with 1.2m square, and are the largest plane dragon head reliefs in China at present. It is the crowning touch of the bridge and the treasure of the town bridge. Take a walk on Gulou Bridge, there will be no evil spirits, and you can prolong your life! The pavilion gallery of Gulou Bridge has adopted ancient techniques such as leaking windows, hanging and palace lanterns. Create a festive and peaceful atmosphere. The stone relief pattern of Shiting balustrade means "Millennium Drum Rhyme" and "Twin Phoenix Rising in the Sun", which is collectively called "Fengcheng Drum Rhyme", indicating that Taizhou is a phoenix with a long history of more than 2 100 years. The lotus petals in the gallery are an ancient auspicious picture, which symbolizes the yin and yang of heaven and earth, fairness, economic prosperity and national prosperity. The arch eyebrows and arches of the Drum Tower Bridge are made of Suzhou Jinshan Stone, the veneers are made of fireproof board, the bottom of the bridge is made of real stone paint, the roof is made of special matte glazed tiles, the bridge railings are made of Jinshan Stone Yunlong column, and the street lamps are in the form of ancient auspicious bells.
