Where is Shaowu Wenchang Pavilion?
Wenchang Pavilion: Located in the northwest of Xiafang Natural Village, Jinkeng Village, Jinkeng Township, Shaowu City, Nanping City, Fujian Province, Jinkeng, also known as Jinping, is located in the west of Shaowu City. It is one of the most remote towns in Shaowu, and it is also a border trade market town in Fujian and Jiangxi. Wenchang Pavilion was built during the Qianlong period of Qing Dynasty (1736- 1795), and it is the core part of Wenchang Palace, the main feng shui building at the end of Jinkeng Shuiwei. Wenchang Palace is a courtyard building, facing 142 and covering an area of 5 19.03 square meters. Wenchang Pavilion stands in the courtyard tunnel of the palace. Plane square, the first floor is three in width and depth, the second floor is a veranda in width and depth, and the third floor is a square; Structurally, the load-bearing frame is vertically stressed by four Huang Jinzhu in the middle, and the neutral Leigong column supports the pointed roof, which is simple in structure and stable in shape. The architectural decoration is mainly dragon-shaped diagonal braces, and the beams and ceilings are decorated with oil paints, which is extremely gorgeous.
Wenchang Pavilion, with its unique architectural structure and rich characteristics in northern Fujian, is a precious material to explore the development and evolution of architectural structure and technology in Qing Dynasty, and has important historical, artistic and scientific research value. In 2009, it was included in the seventh batch of provincial cultural relics protection units.
