Detailed introduction of Shimen bridge in Chongqing
Chongqing Jialing River Shimen Bridge is located between Zhongdukou in Shapingba District and Dashiba in Jiangbei District. The bridge type is a prestressed concrete cable-stayed bridge with single tower and single cable. It spans Jialing River, with a total length of 7 16M. The main bridge is a 200+230(M) prestressed concrete cable-stayed bridge with single cable plane and single tower, with a total width of 25.5M and four lanes. The pier is about 50M high, the tower column is higher than the bridge deck 1 13M, and the total tower height is about 163M. Stay cables are arranged in parallel, with a cable distance of 7.5M and a maximum length of 230M. The main girder is a box section, and cantilever casting with rigid skeleton is adopted. The approach bridge is a prestressed concrete continuous beam with 5*50+36(M) main holes, which is constructed by incremental launching method. 1988 was completed and opened to traffic. Designed by Shanghai Municipal Engineering Design Institute and constructed by Chongqing Bridge Engineering Company of Sichuan Province. At that time, it was the largest bridge of its kind in China. It is the first time to adopt the new technology of high-tower slip film construction. Construction started on February 25th 1985 and was completed on February 25th 1988.
