Which city does Hancheng belong to?
Hancheng, known as Longmen, xia yang and Shaoliang in ancient times, is a county-level city managed by Weinan City, Shaanxi Province, located on the west bank of the Yellow River in eastern Shaanxi and in the northeast corner of Guanzhong Basin.
Hancheng is one of the important birthplaces of Chinese civilization and the hometown of Sima Qian, the Taishi Duke of Shi Sheng. In the early years of the Western Zhou Dynasty, the son was named Korea, and at the turn of the Spring and Autumn Period and the Warring States Period, Kang, the son of Qin Zhong, was named Liang Guo. During the Warring States Period, Xiayang County was established in Qin Dynasty. In the eighteenth year of Emperor Kai of Sui Dynasty (598), Hancheng County was established.
1984 1 month was changed to hancheng city, and 1985 1 month was listed as an open city in Shaanxi province. In 2006, it became the only city in Shaanxi that won the title of "China Excellent Tourism City" as a county-level city.

Hancheng is high in the northwest and low in the southeast. The deep mountains in the west are mostly beam-shaped mountains, and the altitude is generally above 900 meters. The elevation of Daling at the junction of Han (city) and Huang (dragon) is1788m, which is the highest point in the city. Most of the shallow mountainous areas in central China are loess hills with an altitude of 600 ~ 900 meters. The elevation of the eastern Loess Plateau is generally 400 ~ 600 meters, and the elevation of the lower reaches of the river and the Yellow River beach is mostly below 400 meters.
The Zhichuankou in the south of the city is 357 meters above sea level, which is the lowest surface in the city. There are mountains, plains, beaches and other landforms in the territory, of which deep mountains and shallow hills account for 69% of the total area.

3. Religion
Buddhism and Taoism flourished in Hancheng in the Tang, Song and Yuan Dynasties, declined gradually in the Ming and Qing Dynasties and disappeared after liberation. Christianity and Islam were introduced into Hancheng in the late Qing Dynasty and the Republic of China. By 1989, there were 1 churches and monasteries with a certain number of believers.
