The ancient temple was built in the second year of Tang Dynasty (AD 895) and was created by Zhaohui. When Zhaohui arrived at Huanglong Temple, he said, "The beauty of the three mountains is the source of the nine springs, and the nine customs and thirteen locks the realm of the true Buddha."
