What effect does more rain have on rice planted just in one season?

Too much rain will affect the spread of pollen from sterile line to stigma of restorer line, and too high water content will also lead to the decrease of fertilization rate. In short, it will lead to a decline in production.

What if there is too much rain and the rice is flooded?

In the year when plum rains flooded, paddy fields with poor drainage were prone to waterlogging. In the case of waterlogging, rice not only lodging, but also soil moisture is too high, poor ventilation, soil temperature drops, physiological activities are greatly affected, and even tillers die. The following remedial measures are recommended:

1. Drain the accumulated water as soon as possible.

Clean the drainage system in time to reduce waterlogging. If it is cloudy, it can be drained at one time. In case of hot weather, the upper part of rice plants should be exposed to water first, and then the accumulated water should be drained after 24 hours to avoid sun exposure, which is helpful to restore growth.

2. Wash seedlings and control water in time.

After drainage, spray coarse water with a sprayer to wash away impurities such as sediment on rice plants, so as to restore their physiological functions such as photosynthesis and respiration as soon as possible. After the accumulated water in the rice field is drained, the water in the field is still saturated. It is necessary to clean the ditches and adhere to three irrigation methods: dry, wet and wet.

3, topdressing quick-acting fertilizer

During the disaster, the nutrition device of rice plants was damaged to varying degrees, and the original paddy field fertilizer lost more, so the topdressing should be accurate soon. As far as tillering stage is concerned, 8 kg of urea and 5 kg of potassium chloride can be applied per mu within 3 days after drainage, and rice special fertilizer 10 kg can be applied in the middle, and the amount of light chemical fertilizer can be appropriately reduced during waterlogging, and vice versa.

4. Integrated pest control

The leaves and tillers of flooded rice are tender green and vulnerable to diseases and insect pests. Attention should be paid to the control of armyworm and stem borer, and the control of leaf blight and rice blast should be strengthened in the later stage.
