In Yangzhai Feng Shui, the position of the Bagua is based on the "acquired Bagua position".

That is, the orientation of Wenwang Gua:

Kanbei, Linan, Zhendong, Duixi, northwest of Qian, southeast of Xunda, southwest of Kun, and northeast of Gen.

In Feng Shui, the acquired Bagua is used to determine the actual geographical location. The innate Bagua is not used to determine the actual position, but to determine the time.

It can also be said that the acquired Bagua is a spatial model, and the innate Bagua is a time model. The interaction between the two forms forms the Feng Shui system.
