Luqifeng, the legend of immortality by the Leishui River

Luqifeng Forest Park is a shining pearl on the shore of Lishui. Three to five miles east of Lei City, there is a towering mountain with lush bamboo forests and greenery. It is called Luqi Peak. According to legend, it is the place where Su Dande, a native of Chen County, became an immortal. There is still the "Ascension Platform" on the top of the mountain.

If you visit Luqifeng, you must visit Lufeng Temple. Lufeng Temple is located halfway up Luqifeng Mountain. Due to thousands of years of wind and rain, the mountain temple was almost destroyed. In recent years, it has been repaired several times and the temple is large in scale. Lufeng Temple is built on the mountain, with six buildings on the front, back, left and right. It is majestic and solemn. The Mahavira Hall enshrines Sakyamuni Buddha, Avalokitesvara Bodhisattva, Eighteen Arhats, etc. On every first and fifteenth day of the Lunar New Year and Buddhist holy days, pilgrims gather and the clouds and smoke surround it, making it a Buddhist resort. There is a Bell and Drum Tower on the left side of the main hall, a majestic four-story building dedicated to the God of Wealth, Medicine Buddha, Manjushri and Guanyin Bodhisattva. There are two bright red cockscombs growing naturally on the stone wall in front of the building. They are as red as blood and have not faded for many years. It is really magical! It’s incredible! Could it be that the mysterious power of Buddhism gives this flower its magical vitality?

On the right side of the Main Hall is the even more magical "Bagua Well". According to legend, this well was created by Su Dande, a native of Chenxian County, who became an immortal and used his finger to tap it to form a well, hence the name "Su Xian Well". Luo Hongxian, a native of Leiyang who was the champion of the Ming Dynasty, rebuilt the well and inserted the Bagua into it. From then on, the well became the Bagua Well. The water in the Bagua Well is sweet and clear. The color of the well water changes due to the refraction of light, sometimes green, sometimes blue, sometimes red, sometimes goose yellow, sometimes bright and sometimes dark, like a dream, mysterious and unpredictable. Well water is rich in various minerals. According to folklore, it can cure all kinds of diseases, and the villagers call it "holy water".

Luo Hongxian was a famous person in Leiyang, and he was the number one scholar in the Hongwu period of the Ming Dynasty. There are many folk legends about Luo Zhuangyuan in Leiyang. The number one scholar left his post and went to live in seclusion in Leiyang. The emperor was furious and said: Luo Hongxian has left Leiyang and he will never be the number one scholar. However, Leiyang, a geomantic treasure land, has had outstanding people since ancient times. The people of Leiyang are wise, hard-working and brave, endure hardships and domineering, are stubborn and refuse to admit defeat, and have the spirit of being the first to do so, which makes Leiyang, a county-level city, shine in the great China.

Climbing up the stone steps on the side of Baguajing, you can reach the top of Luqi Peak in just ten minutes. There is a temple on the top of the mountain called Shangfeng Temple. It probably means the temple above Lufeng Temple. Shangfeng Temple is not big, far less than the size of Lufeng Temple. But Shangfeng Temple is located on the top of the mountain. At this moment, you can see far into the distance, feel relaxed and happy, and have a panoramic view of the infinite scenery. The mountains to the east are vast, like thousands of troops and horses crisscrossing the vast land. Standing on the top of the mountain, I can't help but sigh at the insignificance of human power and the greatness of the universe, and the mundane things in the world have disappeared.

Standing on the top of the mountain and looking around, the Lei River comes from the south, passes through Zao City in the west, suddenly turns east, and then goes north, parallel to Leiyang City for more than ten miles, and the river flows east under the Qinglong Pagoda and around Yang. There was another big loop in Wuzui, and then we headed north leisurely. You see how the river is like an infatuated woman, stretching out her passionate arms to wrap around her lover's neck, and finally reluctantly leaves. Standing on the top of the mountain and looking to the west, Leiyang City can be seen at a glance. After decades of great changes, the old city that was once dilapidated and decadent has changed into a new look, with high-rise buildings and buildings, creating a vibrant scene. The two chimney windows of Leiyang Thermal Power Plant tower into the sky. The Beijing-Zhuhai Expressway comes from the north, is surrounded by mountains and rivers, and goes south like the Jade Belt. Nearby, the farmland and vegetable fields of Jinnan and Luqi communities are crisscrossed and clearly distinguishable. The villagers' villas and houses are hidden among the green mountains and green waters, creating a harmonious and prosperous new rural scene. Opposite to it in the north is another hill slightly lower than Luqifeng. It is about one kilometer away from Luqifeng and connected by hills in the middle. The two peaks are shaped like a penholder and a goat's horn, so Luqi Peak is also known as Bijia Mountain and Yangjiaoxian.

"

Purple Mabuling Ridge, white clouds and misty Luqifeng". As the first of the eight scenic spots in Leiyang, Luqifeng is only 300 meters above sea level, so it really can't be counted. high. However, "the mountain is not high, as long as there are immortals, it is famous." The immortal energy of Luqifeng's Zhansu and Luo Erxian has long been a success for Leiyang tourism. The drive from any place in Leiyang City to Luqifeng will not take more than half an hour. This is probably the only place in the country where a beautiful scenic spot is so close to the downtown area! Ever since, every weekend, holiday or in their spare time, people in Leiyang would bring the old and the young, and invite friends to make appointments to climb Luqi Peak. There are often calls to "walk up to Luqi Peak" in the circle of friends; One family even meets up with two or three friends after get off work to drive up to Luqifeng to have a look.

At night, sit on the top of a mountain or lean on a railing and watch the lights of thousands of houses in the city and the silence of the countryside; the vehicles on the highway dragging long beams of light "whooshing", you may feel: Why should life be such a rush? You may feel content that you can have such leisure time in this bustling world.

Yes, life is so short, why bother pursuing fame, wealth and wealth! I thought that Luo Xianggong retired to Luqifeng as a scholar, cultivated his mind and nature, and finally achieved good results. The Lufeng Temple is adjacent to the Lei River and overlooks the city of Lei. It has witnessed the vicissitudes of the human world. The so-called prosperity and glory will eventually be driven away by the rain and wind. Only the breeze in the mountains and the bright moon on the river will last forever, and they have become legends of immortality.
