Animal feed can be used as the staple food of carp, such as small fish, shrimp, earthworm and so on. In addition, there are all kinds of land insects, such as dragonflies, flies and locusts. And aquatic insects, such as red worms. When feeding artificially, you can choose to feed lean meat or animal offal, and it is best to chop it up before feeding.
2. Plant feed
Carp will also eat aquatic plants, algae, moss and so on. When artificially raised, it can be fed with miscellaneous grains such as corn, sorghum and rice. It is suggested that bone meal should be properly added for feeding. Carp is a low-temperature and variable-temperature animal, which does not need to consume energy to maintain a constant body temperature, and its total food intake is not large. But because it is a kind of fish with no stomach and short intestine, its feeding habit is to eat less and eat more.
Culture method of carp
Adequate oxygen is an important condition for the rapid growth of carp. Carp is a very aerobic fish. If there is not enough oxygen in the water, it is difficult to grow up. Therefore, in the process of breeding, we should pay attention to oxygenation and turn on the aerator every night.
Fermented manure, pig manure and cow dung 150-300kg/667 square meters can be applied 7- 10 days before carp fry go into the pond, which promotes the growth of microorganisms and plankton in the water and provides a large number of natural bait for carp.
In order to make carp grow rapidly, we can feed protein-rich animal bait, such as fish and shrimp, and occasionally sprinkle bean dregs and cooked egg yolks in the pond to provide food for carp.
In the daily carp breeding process, it is necessary to conduct three rounds and four inspections in the morning, middle and evening to observe its activities, eating, growth and water quality changes, and regularly inject water to do a good job in flood control and escape prevention.
