Geographical environment of Jingyu County

Jingyu County is located in the southeast of Jilin Province, west of Changbai Mountain and upstream of Songhua River. Geographical coordinates are between12630' ~12716' and 42 06' ~ 42 48' north latitude. Fusong in the east, Jiangyuan in the south, Huinan and Liuhe in the west and Huadian in the north. It is 34.52 kilometers wide from east to west and 89.64 kilometers long from north to south, with a total area of 3094.4 square kilometers.

Jingyu County is adjacent to Songhua River in the east, surrounded by Longgang Mountains in Changbai Mountain in the west, south and north, forming a topographical feature of high in the west, low in the south and low in the east.

The rivers in the main waters of Jingyu County are Yijiang, Sanhe and Erlong Bay, that is, Songhua River is the natural county boundary between Jingyu County and Fusong County. Toudao Garden River, Zhuzi River and Naerhong River are three major rivers in Jingyu County, with more than 30 tributaries, which flow into Songhua River in the east. Longquan Longwan and Hayes Longwan are volcanic lakes and natural reservoirs.
