Legend of Tiefo Temple

After marriage, both husband and wife regard the guest as the respect, honor their parents and elders, be humble and virtuous, take the servant as the servant, and the family get along well and live a sweet life. After such a good day for a year, a shadow slowly enveloped this happy family. After more than a year of marriage, Miss Lin and Zhao's daughter-in-law still have a flat stomach. Another year passed, and Zhao's daughter-in-law still didn't have a baby, which made the couple who wanted to have grandchildren outside Zhao's house continue to burn incense. They began to seek medical treatment and worship Buddha everywhere, hoping to have grandchildren as soon as possible.
However, contrary to expectations, as the days passed, Zhao's wife's stomach was still flat. Seeing that the Zhao family's incense is about to be broken, Mr. and Mrs. Zhao are extremely anxious. Mr. Zhao, who is always charitable at ordinary times, never dreamed that the Zhao family would end up like this.
Just when Mr. Zhao's family was about to completely lose the hope of having grandchildren, one morning, an old man came to Mr. Zhao's door and pointed out that he was looking for Mr. Zhao. The old man's age is unknown. He doesn't know where he came from or how he came from. I saw this handsome and saintly old man, and I knew at a glance that he was a master.
After entering the house, the old man told Mr. Zhao that the reason why Zhao's daughter-in-law can't have children so far is because Zhao's house was occupied by a Millennium snake demon. Now, in order to completely occupy Zhao's mansion as a place of practice, this snake demon deliberately enchanted Zhao's daughter-in-law to be infertile, and has no children since then. Mr. Zhao quickly asked if there was any way to stop the snake demon. Old man Hefa stroked his beard and said, I'm here to subdue the demon this time. I have my own way. You, Mr. Zhao, only need to do two things well. Mr. Zhao quickly said that as long as he can curb the snake demon and continue Zhao Jiaxiang, not to mention two pieces, ten pieces will be done right.
The old man said, first of all, the Zhao family should continue to do good things for the villagers and benefit one party in the future. The second thing is, you have to make a hundred alms, build a Buddha statue, and build a house for worship, and use this Buddha statue to suppress the snake demon. A long time ago, there was a Buddha town demon here. Later, the Buddha statue was destroyed, and now the evil spirits are in trouble. So remember: the Buddha statue is immortal, and the snake demon is not chaotic. Mr. Zhao wrote it down one by one, repeatedly replied and promised to do it. It's no problem to hold a banquet for the elderly. Immediately arrange the servants to go out for alms, and repeatedly tell them to come back for alms.
On the third night, an old man with a crane hair came behind Zhao's old house to do evil. I saw the old man's peach charm, arrows flying, lightning and thunder, swords and shadows, and it didn't end until after midnight. At dawn, Mr. Zhao and his family visited the back hill. About half of my mother's land used to be free of lush weeds, but the towering trees were unscathed. Today, the wonders of the back mountain of Tiefo Temple still exist.
Mr. Zhao saw the old man who insisted on leaving to the door. When he turned around, the old man disappeared. Mr. Zhao kept his promise, divided the fields and farmed with the villagers, and set up a post station to provide tea and meals for passing customers free of charge. And dug a mountain spring well in the east of the mountain. Its sweet spring water is inexhaustible and free for everyone to enjoy. The landscape here is now called "Still Water Guanyin", and there are constant springs for temples to use. Many pilgrims who come to travel and worship also drink this water specifically for health and longevity.
Servants who went out for alms also came back one after another, bringing back different quantities of pig iron. Everyone is puzzled why Mr. Zhao wants pig iron. Finally, the foreign minister revealed the reason. Because the demon-descending elders repeatedly stressed that the Buddha statue can't be destroyed and the snake demon can't be chaotic. How can we make the Buddha statue immortal? Using wood for a long time will cause moths and be easily burned by fire. Clay sculptures are easy to break, and they are even more afraid of floods. Therefore, in order to maintain the immortality and safety of the Buddha statue, it is best to cast the Buddha statue with pig iron.
Mr Zhao also gathered around the square to help people believe in women. After the funds and pig iron were in place, craftsmen were asked to cast a 2-ton Buddha statue, which was enshrined in a specially built house, and incense was lit every day to pray. One good turn deserves another. A year later, Zhao's daughter-in-law really gave birth to a big fat man, and from then on, the Zhao family had a continuation of incense. Later, the Zhao family had a prosperous business and a prosperous population. In order to be grateful, Mr. Zhao's family moved to Wangjiachang, converted the old house into a temple, and invited monks from all over the country to enter the temple. Because there is a big iron Buddha in the temple, it is named Tiefo Temple. Since then, under the management of monks, Tiefo Temple has gained great fame and incense.
