Brief introduction of Zhaocuoliao village
Li's ancestral home in Zhaocuoliao, Puning City is Bifeng Palace, and he is the thirteenth generation descendant of Huo Degong, an ancestor who entered Fujian, and later moved to Zhaocuoliao Village, Liusha, Puning County. Gong gave birth to a son, saying: Hua Meng (Huo Degong XIV), Meng Huagong gave birth to a son, Feng Ya (Huo Degong XV), Miao Huangjin and Miao Yulin (Huo Degong XVI) were the founders of Zhao Cuoliao Village.
According to historical records, Zhao Cuoliao's surname Li moved here from Wanhua Village, Yutian Township, Wuhua County, Meizhou City in the late Ming Dynasty. It turns out that Zhao lives in the east of the village. In the early Qing Dynasty, the population developed gradually and the economic situation improved, so Zhao moved to other places. Therefore, Li was named "Zhao CuO Liao" because he lived in Caoliao.
Zhaocuoliao is located in the west of Liusha County, and the village site runs from northeast to southwest, surrounded by Liusha River in front of the village, forming a pattern of jade belt and white hall. The whole village extends in all directions and has convenient transportation.
Zhaocuoliao Village was founded in the 13th year of Chongzhen in Ming Dynasty (AD 1640). The ancestral hall is located on the east bank of the entrance to the village, with the back of the ancestral hall leaning against the back peak of Tieling, overlooking the tree flat in front of Tongshan Mountain. Jade belt floats in the south, and purple gas comes from the east. Known as the natural treasure house of Feng Shui. The Li Ancestral Hall is a traditional mansion-style building. Looking up at the gate, it is embedded with the golden Chinese character "Lee's Ancestral Hall". When you enter the gate and the main hall, you can see that the building technology in the hall is extraordinary, tall and majestic, and magnificent. Carving beams and painting buildings, gorgeous and exquisite, is really wonderful and dazzling. Above the main hall, the plaques of "Dear Hall" and "Hanlin Academy" are hung high. The center of the hall is dedicated to the gods of Li Zushi and his ancestor Huo Degong, while the west side of the hall is dedicated to the heroic deeds of the revolutionary pioneers, village politics, village appearance and other celebrations.
Although the Li ancestral hall is small, it has a lot of connotation. It not only fully embodies the achievements of Li's descendants in highlighting their ancestors' career, but also expresses their piety in remembering their ancestors' kindness. What is more worthy of the Li people's glory and relief is that the Li Ancestral Hall was the former site of "Dear School" as early as War of Resistance against Japanese Aggression. At that time, Luo Tian (director of the provincial people's congress), Lin Chuan (party secretary of Shantou University), Chen Chuming (former county party secretary of Puning City), Zheng Dun (former secretary of Yunnan Provincial Party Committee) and other "dear schools" taught many outstanding talents for the country and wrote an immortal chapter in the history of Puning Revolutionary Party.
